Food & service were quite good but we ordered a Madras which was extremely hot and too spicy. The table adjoining us which was a party of 6 young females and someone on that table ordered a Madras too. When asked about the food we commented that the Madras was too hot and the customer who ordered the Madras on the adjoining table party of 6 females also made the same comment that is was way too hot!! The waiter instantly offered the adjoining table to have the Madras cooled with some yoghurt by the chef, no such offer was made to us. To make matters worse later when it came to paying the bill the waiter complimented the table of 6 females the Madras and took it off their bill but minutes earlier he still charged us for it. Last Tuesday evening, myself and my partner went out for a meal here not knowing it was going to be a horrific experience. I have been to this restaurant a couple of times and always had a pleasant time. The service was of a very poor standard despite it being a very quiet night. The server was always behind the bar/in the kitchen, were not offered drink refills or even checked upon. Worst of all I was served real chicken curry (when I had ordered the vegetarian chicken option) which I suspect was a mix up due to the language barrier. I accidentally ate chicken for the first time in 10 years which was quite traumatic. I realised in retrospect as my partner paid the bill that we were not compensated for this. Extremely rude waiter and management. They weren't satisfied not having ordered any drinks which was resulting in a lower spending per person from our side. They felt the need to explicitly mention that each of our customer spends atleast 20GBP per person and that we should seriously order more. We politely told them that we don't drink and we are already ordering 3 dishes for 3 people. The waiter still wasn't satisfied and went ahead to call another senior staff. That person was still rude enough to humiliate us more by suggesting dishes we could order and continued to tell us to spend more. We finally gave up and walked out of the damn restaurant.
