If you’re in the mood for an authentic Italian dining experience, this restaurant is a must-visit. The food is absolutely delicious, with each dish bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. Garlic Bread: This garlic bread is a perfect balance of crispy and soft. The golden, buttery crust is infused with fragrant garlic and fresh herbs, delivering a deliciously savory bite. The warmth and subtle crunch of the bread pair beautifully with the rich, aromatic flavors, making it the perfect start to any meal.
Bruschetta with Mushrooms and Caramelized Onion: This twist on traditional bruschetta elevates the classic with earthy, sautéed mushrooms and sweet, caramelized onions. The toasted bread provides a crisp, warm foundation, while the mushrooms add a deep umami richness, and the onions bring a delightful sweetness. Together, they create a mouthwatering contrast of flavors—savory, sweet, and utterly satisfying.
Gnocchi with Duck: The gnocchi is a velvety, pillowy delight that practically melts in your mouth. Paired with tender, succulent duck, this dish offers a beautifully balanced combination of flavors. The rich, savory duck perfectly complements the delicate gnocchi, while a flavorful sauce adds depth, making every bite a comforting, luxurious experience.
Lasagne: This lasagne is a true indulgence, with layers of perfectly cooked pasta, rich bolognese sauce, and a creamy béchamel that ties it all together. The meat sauce is hearty and flavorful, while the béchamel adds a smooth, velvety richness. Topped with melted cheese that forms a golden, bubbling crust, each bite is a comforting, satisfying blend of textures and deep, savory flavors.
The atmosphere adds to the charm, too. The lively energy fills the space, with friendly service and a welcoming vibe that makes it perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions....
Read moreThis was my first time visiting Damon, an Italian restaurant in Altrincham, just across from Weatherspoons bar. It has recently opened and I hope, unlike many restaurants in this location lasts far longer than the normal one year as this is a wonderful slice of Italy in this expanding town. The atmosphere wasn't 'buzzing' as there were only approx 8people in the restaurant and max 4No staff but it was a Thursday evening! The two main waiters, I believe are brothers who were very engaging with all customers and readily spoke of there lives in Italy and their new menu with original favourites retained plus lots of their new recipes, soon to become their favourite best sellers. I had the lamb knokki in a rich tomato sauce plus the selection of breads which were all amazing. There was also a couple of specials, beef fillet with special homemade salad or a fish soup, I didn't try but both waiters expressed how good they were! I will definitely visit again soon if just to keep their numbers up for their ongoing great menu. As for the location I hope it catches on a d doesn't fall by the wayside as many before them have done as it is a great venue which just needs to attract a good crowd. The location hasn't created a rush of diners but it should do as their food...
Read moreOur first experience at Damo exceeded expectation. We dined as a four as an occasion to treat my parents and it was the perfect choice, it felt very intimate and the restaurant is beautifully decorated and lit. The warm welcome and service from every member of staff from start to finish was excellent.
The manager kindly explained the menu to us and nothing was too much trouble. The bottles of rose and merlot wine we chose were very affordable (approx. £27 a bottle) and good quality considering this is a higher end establishment in terms of the food on offer.
The starters took a while to come out but we enjoyed some focaccia and breadsticks on the house, and the staff were very apologetic. The starters of calamari and rice balls with butternut squash and smoked cheese (their version of arancini) were generous portions and very tasty. The mains were fabulous, we enjoyed the sea bream ragu, prawn and courgette pasta, duck ragu gnocchi and a special of lamb shoulder. We were very full but couldn’t resist a tiramisu and gelato for dessert. The free limoncello at the end was a nice touch also. I would definitely come here again for a special occasion. Thank you Damo, we...
