Juniper Hale — Restaurant in Trafford

I recently visited the café and tried the Caesar wrap, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations , especially considering the premium pricing. Firstly, the Caesar dressing lacked its signature tang and depth. It tasted more like plain mayonnaise, missing that distinctive sharpness you’d expect. I also couldn’t detect any Parmesan, if it was there, it certainly wasn’t noticeable. That’s a key element of a proper Caesar, and its absence really showed. The chicken was warm, but it caused the sauce to melt and become watery, seeping into the plate not the most appetising presentation. The wrap itself was overly soft and didn’t hold up well; given the café’s stylish and upscale branding, I would have expected a higher-quality wrap to match. If you’re going to offer a “Caesar” wrap, it should genuinely reflect the classic profile. A bit of crunch would go a long way , I also noticed anchovies were entirely left out. I understand they can be divisive, but at this price point, you could consider serving an anchovy-based dip or aioli on the side, allowing guests to choose. I appreciate the concept, but this dish needs refinement if it’s going to justify its name and...

Dropped in for breakfast as another restaurant failed to meet the booking we had made. Very busy; unexpectedly at the managers own admission, who had sensibly called in extra staff. However, they were able to accommodate us.

I was initially surprised by the level of customer service. I don’t know whether my expectations have been lowered by the typically poor customer service in the UK, but it made this place stand out (in a good way). Attentive, helpful and polite.

Due to the rush, the coffee arrived after the food (a fact which they couldn’t apologise enough for) and immediately offered these drinks free of charge. We wouldn’t have expected this, but this small act had a very positive effect on us!

The food was simple, well cooked and tasty. Not the biggest portion but the quality was evident (and preferred). Great pastry’s too.

Hi have you changed your chef ? Obviously the staff are new as we didn't recognise any original staff members. I have to be honest and tell you the food is definitely not as good as it was. We ordered jacket potato with tuna mayo it was a tiny potato no mayo and not presented nicely either! Junipers used to be heaving not now....! Whether its to do with the new Wilmslow Restaurant I don't know. You were known for great food great portions and great prices this just isn't the case anymore. I'm messaging you as we were always in Juniper hale and work colleagues too but sorry to say things have gone downhill rapidly in our estimation and its sad because you were the best in Hale not sure we can say this now.Friends and colleagues have also mentioned its just not the same! Only you will know why.....Hope the food improves as right now we won't be eating at Juniper again....
