Sigiriya Hale — Restaurant in Trafford

We hosted our wedding lunch celebration for 50 people at Sigiriya Restaurant in Hale and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The ambiance was warm, elegant and inviting, setting the perfect tone for our special day.

All our Indian guests were full of praise for the food. The succulent lamb chops were a highlight, cooked to perfection with a mouthwatering blend of spices that left everyone craving more. Naan breads were served warm, soft and fluffy, the ideal accompaniment to every dish.

The tangy aubergine curry (wambatu moju) was a vegetarian delight, bursting with flavour and perfectly complemented by the fragrant saag paneer. Another standout dish was the prawn curry, with tender juicy prawns swimming in a rich and aromatic sauce that had everyone reaching for seconds.

Mr. San’s impeccable management ensured that every detail was taken care of, allowing us to relax and enjoy the celebration without a worry. He was a genuine star, gracious, calm, obliging and organised. The drinks selection was excellent, with Ram’s refreshing mocktails stealing the show.

Service was spot on, with attentive staff such as Jittu working tirelessly and efficiently to ensure that everyone’s needs were met with a smile. There was plenty of food and additional servings were brought out to order on demand without any question or additional charge. Despite the high quality of the food and service, the value was exceptional.

Overall, Sigiriya Restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way, leaving us and our guests thoroughly impressed and satisfied. We can’t recommend it highly enough for any special occasion or simply for a memorable...

They poisoned me! I'm gluten intolerant so was really pleased when I saw that sigiriya labelled their menu clearly for gluten, vegetarian, dairy and nuts. I ordered gluten free options and my husband pointed out to the waiter that I was unable to eat anything with gluten in. Within minutes of starting my meal (the kofta kebab in mixed grill) I felt nauseous, sweaty and bloated. I asked the waiter to check with the kitchen if my food had gluten in. He assured me that chef said it didn't. Then I saw that apparently their "Swiss chocolate ice cream" doesn't contain dairy. Please don't trust their allergy information as they clearly don't have a clue what they're talking about. To top the evening off, we had 10% service charge added to our bill.
