I give it 5 stars because. Its clean. The owners are very anti covid. Its blocked off by thick clear plastic and payment is made through the plastic. Santising station is available which I made use of and it has deep comfy chairs. It's my first time in. I ordered the food and I waited about 10 minutes. If that much. The food was quick hot and fresh. Plus I was given a free prawn cracker. Something i hadn't eaten in about 3 years. That was a little treat. I always buy the same thing as am a picky eater. I dont eat certain meat. Especially pork. So am always careful where I buy food because I often buy chinese take away and find bits of pork in it which always makes me feel disgruntled. The meal was for 2 people and i ordered 2 portion of egg fried rice 2 portion of vegetable spring rolls 2 portion of salt and pepper chips and 1 portion of salt and pepper wings. The chips were large and clean done in fresh oil and was golden colour it had fresh peppers and onions and carrots. It was not pepper. If you are afraid of chillies this is a must have. You get 4 spring rolls in each portion. The spring rolls are cooked well and packed with much tasty filling and cooked to a lightly crisp colour and not burnt. You get 7 pieces of large chicken wings in each portion. Withbrhe same topping as on the chips except you get more of it. There is no fiery peppers to make your eyes water. If you want that you may have to add your own or ask for it. The egg fried rice was egg fried rice and free from any meat trace. Yeah!!!! Now I realise that this chippy New Gi Foo Chinese take away. Gives you a large portion size. So for the future I can order 1 portion of large egg fried rice 1 portion of spring rolls because there is alot it definitely serves 2 people. The spring rolls are well made. They accept credit card payments. And this is the reason I stopped because my husband showed me the place at 1730 and I said I wanted to go my favourite place. My husband said our place dont take credit cards. So I stopped and am well impressed and I will be going again. The Young chinese lady speaks good english with a Chinese accent. She is clear and repeats to make sure she gets the order right. The New Gi Foo is right by the junction of stretford road/Seymour grove/by the traffic lights 1 minute walk from the tram stop. It has a few parking spaces outside. The traffic light coming out is always on red and does not change. I've been ordering from here for the past couple of years while I've lived in Salford, and it has consistently been amazing quality in every respect. I have Chinese takeaway a lot as it's my favourite food, and I've lived in various places around GM, and I can say this is easily the best Chinese takeaway out of any I've had. The food arrives hot, and while it's been late delivery a few times during busier times, they also make up for it by being really speedy ahead of estimated delivery at other times, which is more than I can say for other places.

The chips are crispy and thick, never soggy, and things like the mains (e.g. sweet and sour chicken) are never just meat pieces in a watery sauce - it's a thick, delicious sauce with nice chunks of mixed veg. You get a lot of variety, and portion sizes are incredible for the price, usually enough to make leftovers (at least for one person like me).

I may be moving soon so might be too far away to order from here anymore, but just want to say thanks to the GiFoo people. Food never turned up. Waited over 2.5hours. Called numerous times for updates. Eventually answered and said “oh it’s on the way” after asking for loads of details to find the order. Clearly forgot. Then lied and said it was on the way. 40 mins passes by and I have to chase up where order is as it’s a 5 minute drive. They then claim to have delivered it to someone using my name which is impossible and a lie. The delivery driver also never once rang me or text to say he was there? Then they claim it has been delivered to me and I’m lying😂. What they don’t realize is I have CCTV at my apartment block and I have ZERO reason to lie. The woman on the phone (owner) was disgustingly rude and tried screaming at me and my girlfriend. Not sure who she thinks she is. Extremely unprofessional and her attitude won’t get her very far in life.

I will be taking legal action for my refund as I have the cctv footage to prove the order was not delivered to me, I’m out of pocket and never received my order. Never in my life dealt with such an unprofessional and disgusting company in my life. AVOID...
