Hong Kong chippy — Restaurant in Trafford

I have lived in Manchester for 22 years, and this has always been my favourite and my local take away chip shop. Over time I've seen many new owners that has kept the standards of cooking and food delivery. But since the new owners has taken over since lately . Even though they're really nice. For my past food orders that came to £37.50 and £30.00 plus. On 2 different occasions, If I didn't receive soggy chips way over an hour and a half of waiting for my order, along with out of town visitors starving and angry waiting. Whilst singing their praises of past experiences. I was given 45mins waiting time. My last order I was very surprised of how quick I got my order and I got everything that I ordered but didn't get part of my order, which was fish and chips. Instead I got egg fried rice and chips, that I didn't order and absolutely detest egg. Livid was an understatement!!!! I called the shop and told them about the mistake they made and they was very apologetic. My fish and chips arrived 30 mins later which couldn't be eaten and was waisted because of me being so hungry I snacked on what arrived. I'm so angry and disappointed with their services lately and spending so much money with them to be getting your order way over the 45mins expected time span and being extremely hungry because of waiting is NOT!!! A good mix. And NOT forgetting the telephone manner when they are challenged with a customer that is spending their hard earn money with them and has been doing it for the past 22 years in my local community. Things are not the same any more and I miss the last owners....

Well i can say with no hesitation that this chinese chippy is definately in the runnings for top local chinese takeaway. Located in the old Trafford area on Henrietta st Manchester. We ordered "Chicken fried rice", plus "fried onion rings in batter with chips and a spring roll. From the minute we entered this "take away" the staff were warm friendly and welcoming. The serving chinese lady assured us that everything we order was freshly cooked and prepared for every customer. This take away also provides a delivery service via telephone ordering..this food was 100% delicious. (Honest truth im not paid for writing this or any of these reviews, just Credit where credits due). Check them out and see For yourself.. remember "Henrietta street" off "Ayres road" "old trafford Manchester". Update.. I visited this take away again (last night) we had some "chicken chow mein with chips". This included mixed veg and some chopped salad which is an optional extra if you want it. "Delicious" is all i can say..See ya soon..Even if you live outside the area its well worth the trip or simply order...

Absolutely disappointed with tonight's delivery the soup had spiled all over the food and ruined everything after waiting 45 minutes for delivery and them giving the delivery driver the wrong address I was not impressed I rang them up and told them I wanted to return the food and wanted my money back waited nearly 30 mins heard nothing so tried ringing several times no answer ended up throwing the food away as it was dripping everywhere £50 worth of food wasted as they couldn't be bothered dealing with there own mistake over an hour after the complaint was made the delivery driver returned to collect the food I had given up on them coming back hence the food getting binned needless to say no money back no apology nothing they have my number. Was a loyal customer for many years not any more. This used to be a beautiful take away not anymore. Very disappointed. To add to your response we did want a refund but as we already binned the food due to it getting everywhere the driver couldn't give us the money back as he was instructed to take the food back in exchange...
