Spices of Kashmir — Restaurant in Trafford

I have been a customer of Kashmir since the early days in the 1990s and have remained a customer in to my adult years due to the warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere that usually greeted me and family members. The food has always been decent and so has the service. Since the shop moved in to the smaller space around 18 months ago I noticed a change in the quality of food and atmosphere. But in the last couple of months a whole new team of workers seem to have took over and are lacking in any form of basic customer service skills, the basics of hello can I take your order seem like too much of an effort. There is no chit chat which was part and parcel of the previous teams approach. Myself and family members feel uneasy entering the shop now and we will not be using the Ayres road chain unless there is a change. Food arrived an hour and a half after ordering.

Rice was cold. Veg Masala, Onion Bhaji & Chana Daal was cold and wayyyyyy too spicy (not flavorsome wise...heat) - we can normally handle mild/hot curry's, but didn't enjoy the feeling of our faces burning whilst eating. Peshwari naan was doughy like a cake. Onion bhaji - shaped like a doughnut and of the same consistency - and no flavour. Veg Samosa - raw, soggy pastry. Ming, yoghurt dip - very nice!

Such a shame, as we were recommended this place by our neighbors who raved about the food... We're not normally people who write reviews, but felt a bit hard done by paying £19.20 for all of this and bar the mint yoghurt being edible it all...

I had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant, where both the service and the food exceeded my expectations. The quality of the food was outstanding, and the Chicken Burna was especially flavorful. The Samosa and rice were also delicious and made for a perfect meal. However, what truly stood out was the customer service. Muhammad went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable dinner. His attentiveness and warm hospitality made the experience truly memorable. He is a tremendous individual and a pure human, and his kindness really enhanced our visit.
