Indigo Indian Dining — Restaurant in Uttlesford

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with big smiles and a warm welcome by all staff. The restaurant was nicely decorated and the atmosphere bubbled. We were informed by our waiter, Raj, that the restaurant closed at 11 so he took our order straight away and said all food would be brought together which indeed it was. One of the bigger-boned among us managed to spill his full pint all over the table, but it was replaced immediately on the house, what kindness the oaf was shown in his moment of shame. Some of the party asked for recommendations based on their particular likes and dislikes and Raj took great pleasure and care in his suggestions which were promptly ordered. When the food arrived it was a sensual overload for the eyes, nose and then mouth. Sensational flavours, textures and great beer to complement it. All in all a fantastic experience that we won't forget in a hurry, and I'm sure, neither will Raj. Until...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at indigo indian restaurant and it was an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with beautiful decor that set the perfect tone for a memorable meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we felt comfortable throughout our visit.

As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! Every dish was bursting with flavor, and you could tell they use only the freshest ingredients. We started with the Chicken Tikka Biryani Rice which was perfectly spiced and set the stage for the main course. The jalfrezi was a standout—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The naan was soft and pillowy, and the ice cream was the perfect way to finish the meal.

I highly recommend indigo anyone looking for authentic, flavorful Indian cuisine in a cozy, welcoming environment. I can't wait to return and try more...

You're in Saffron Walden and 4 beers deep, a wave of hunger overflows your senses. All of the sudden, a quaint, easy and peaceful restaurant appears across the road from the last pub. You're first welcomed excitedly by Raj, Aman, Ahnaf who of course like many Indian places welcome you excitedly. However, what these people offer is far better than your average experience. The welcoming these three offered, promised nothing less than the best Indian culture experience I have had in an England based restaurant. The shrimp Dopiaza was exquisite when paired with onion rice. The added benefit of a group allowed more options, all of which was top tier curry for the price. I highly recommend Raj, Aman and Ahnaf.
