I decided to take my wife for a birthday treat and choose Capri. It was our first time at this restaurant. Even though I initially tried to get us on Saturday night only to be told it was fully booked, they managed to get us in on the following day (Sunday). We arrived 10 to 15 minutes earlier than booked but we was seated immediately which was a bonus.

The meal was absolutely delicious and fairly priced and the service was quick, polite very efficient and impeccable. We cannot fault the staff one little bit.

The problem arose coming to the end of our meal. We had just finished dessert and was down to the last bit of our bottle if wine when we were asked (very politely, may I add) by the young lady who was at the front desk if we would mind finishing our drinks at the bar as they had another booking for the table we were at. Now bearing in mind that we were early, the waiting staff were quick serving the courses on our 3 course meal and are not by any means slow eaters, we were a little narked at this request. There were, I noticed at least 2 or 3 other tables that had been seated before we had arrived AND were still seated and enjoying their evening out. We found this approach to us as very questionable. Needless to say we politely finished the last of our wine without mentioning the inconvenience and left the premises. It certainly put a negative on the night as we were about to order coffees before we were approached and asked to vacate our table.

Even though we were somewhat dissolutioned by this, no doubt we will be back pretty soon. The Capri is now on the list of our favourite restaurants and we have even recommended it to our friends.

Hopefully next time we visit, the food will still be as good and we will have time to order our coffees to end the night.

Regards Mr & Mrs...

Meal for four, booking for 3pm. In a nutshell, lovely place, food very nice, service not so great. Arrived to loads of people waiting to be seated. Waited in line for a few minutes with no sign of staff placing people at their tables. After about 10 minutes our friends made us aware that they were already seated and browsing the menu. We decided to jump the queue at go find them on the three levels of the building. Eventually found them in the basement. Have to say that the decor is fantastic, really stylish and very tasteful. We were asked about drinks 10 minutes in and they arrived around 10 minutes later. Another half hour until a food order was taken, and another half hour for the starters to arrive. Mains came out 10 minutes after the starters were done. So now we’re about an hour and a half into our 2 hour table slot with mains to eat. Now we’re at our time limit and are asked about dessert. We said we’d have a look. Dessert menu didn’t arrive so after half an hour’s chatting we went to ask for it. It arrived - then nothing, staff sort of disappeared for long periods. We’d given up on it by this time so just sat chatting for a while. Eventually, three and a half hours into our two hour slot we were asked if we’d chosen dessert. We were all agreed that we were over it at that point and asked for the bill. That arrived promptly with a near Ā£20 optional service charge. If, when paying, we’d have been shown some sort of remorse for the lack of attention, we’d have probably swallowed the service charge. But she couldn’t have cared less when we explained we’d been disappointed about the lack of dessert. So we asked her to deduct it. She still didn’t offer any sort of apology or any words at all. If we do go back we will ask to be seated a bit nearer to the action on...

Unfortunately, our experience at Capri was deeply disappointing from start to finish.

We was firstly placed in an extremely cold air conned area near the bar and felt a bit uncomfortable here, We didn't want to make a fuss so we thought we'd be fine staying where we was for a few hours.

My mocktail I was really excited for arrived with a spider in the glass, which was not only off-putting but completely unacceptable in any dining setting. When my partner politely asked for it to be changed, the bartender behind the bar rolled her eyes and made me feel uncomfortable for simply expecting a clean drink.

The starters were okay but came very quick! Almost instantly after ordering...

My partner ordered his main steak medium and wanted the t-bone special but a young man let us know this wasn't available anymore and he changed to a sirloin but they charged us for the t-bone which we had to rectify at the end , his steak was served extremely rare — almost raw in the center which put my partner off completely.

As for my main, the beef rib was cold, bone dry, and lacked any flavour whatsoever. It felt like it had been sitting out for far too long.

Given the high prices, we expected a much better standard of food and service. Unfortunately, the experience left us feeling frustrated and let down. We won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend Capri based on what we encountered.

The staff seemed extremely young and unprofessional/unmotivated and didn't have the best customer service skills, we was really looking forward to this for so long as we have heard really good things about the place but unfortunately this wasn't the case for us on...

I booked this for a special occasion and it didn't disappoint! From first contact with the staff on the phone they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Parking is best at the Newmiller Dam 5mins walk down the road. It is pay and display but free after 18:00. The restaurant is amazing as soon as you walk in there are so many private areas and historical features. Spread over multiple levels with lots of bars. The build spec is top notch. The staff are exceptional. Because we have a child on the spectrum the staff went the next level to accommodate us which is very rare. The sign of well trained and professional staff. We sat in a private booth near the kitchen which was vibrant and loads of space the relax. The menu is vast with something for everyone. Classic Italian dishes but with modern twist. Good for vegan and vegetarian and they asked about allergies before ordering. All the food was delicious and cooked to perfection. I had steak and it ranked among the best I have ever had. With a kids menu which is very generous and well thought out. The staff are attentive but allow you to enjoy your space. Very impressed and planning the next trip in the near future. Highly recommend.

First time ever coming here. There were 9 of us, 5 under 16s. We were greeted by a lovely woman and who took us to our table. Lovely atmosphere, Decor is beautiful and the guy who walks around did little dances it was really funny. When we ordered our food we were served by a young man, he was very polite and had a good sense of humour. I only managed to get a few pictures. I ordered the Carbonara and the cheesy garlic bread and oh my god, absolutely gorgeous. My friend ordered the steak and he said it was amazing. My niece next to me ordered the Carbonara too and we just kept looking at each other and saying it’s so nice isn’t it 🤣 My friend who ordered the steak did order peppercorn sauce which they forgot but he didn’t even realise until half way through eating his steak, he wasn’t fussed so we didn’t say anything. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Worth every penny. If you haven’t been I would say definitely go try it out, you won’t be disappointed. šŸ–¤

I love Capri restaurants and this is my new favourite. I’ve been three times since it opened and each time had been amazing! The quality of the food, the wonderful staff and service, the beautiful decor! It’s a gorgeous restaurant. The staff are so professional and friendly, the garlic bread and carbonara was cooked to perfectionšŸ˜Italian food is my favourite so I’m very fussy with it but I haven’t been disappointed! My mum even finished her salmon rigatoni dish and she never finishes a meal so that speaks volumes! I wish the brunch menu was available on a weekend as I went today ( Monday morning ) and it was so nice! We were speaking with the manager Fabio, he went above and beyond for us, he was so genuine and passionate, he couldn’t have been more helpful. Thank you for making our trips so special, I will be recommending to everyone and will be back very soon.šŸ•
