Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Wakefield

Edited Review: After trying AdeZ Oatmilk I can say that this tastes pretty nice, way better than their attempt at soya, so I will be sticking to oat milk at Costa from now on.

Original Review: I ordered a soya hot chocolate for delivery with Costa's new alternative brand AdeZ to try, as they have stopped using Alpro and instead have moved to this brand owned by Coca Cola. Costa have always been my favourite coffee shop, but I don't understand why they have moved from Alpro to this absolutely revolting milk, that smells like plasticine and tastes even worse. Sorry Costa, but you've gone down hill and I won't be drinking from here again unless you...

Didn't get to see his badge fully before I left but his name started with a C I think and he was working the afternoon of May 3rd. He truly is a credit to the company! So pleasant and helpful with taking my order and helping me with my points card, plus my coffee was absolutely delicious (as always 😁)

In a weird world that can feel so impersonal with people being scared of being around strangers and not being able to see anyone's face because of masks, this worker made my visit feel normal, safe...

I agree that staff are generally pretty helpful and friendly; though I've had occasion when a middle aged woman working there, bucked the trend and has been quite acidic (being generous there BTW). Can't agree with the comments on beverage quality. It's a pretty mediocre to poor branch of Costa. The coffee is often acidic too; this is usualy a feature of Ethiopian coffee beans; or can be the inclusion of too much robusta beans but in this case I suspect it's poor brewing skill.
