TLDR - great food, excellent service, authentic, veggie/vegan/gluten free friendly, family friendly. No Manches, if you're unfamiliar was based in a small retail unit and was a very cosy venue. It has since moved to a joint venture at the York House Hotel (Drury Lane) as a dual restaurant with San Leo. This new location is right in the centre of town ideally situated for those just wanting to have a meal or for those wanting to eat before a night out. Free parking available to customers adjacent to the restaurant. They offer 2 great menus of Italian food and Mexican. This new restaurant is much bigger and not as intimate for No Manches however can accommodate more than a couple of covers. The restaurant is clean and modern and shares the italian/mexican balance well with subtle hints of colour and cactus plants in the room. - The review will cover the Mexican side of the restaurant (No Manches) FOOD - I'm a big fan of flavour and No Manches hits well here. It's easy to tell that everything is fresh, home cooked food. Over a few visits we've had Streetcorn, Soup, Taco's, Burritos, Quesadillas and Burger. Our party was catered for well with plenty of vegan and veggie options. The flavour combinations work very well with fresh coriander breaking into every bite. The food is flavourful and not overly spicy and hot sauce is available if you wish to add a extra hit. If you have small children like we did, tomato & pasta worked well for us from the Italian menu - though for our 2 year old and 18 month old they could have easily shared. Dessert for us consisted of Tiramisu (said to be the best that the guest has ever had), caramelised banana (a favourite for the wife) and churros. Churros were warm, fresh, crunchy yet spongy with cinnamon sugar and warm chocolate sauce. SERVICE - part of the reason we regularly drive >30 mins to get here from Huddersfield. This is an independent business and it shows. The business owners really care about customers and nothing is too much trouble. We have visited about 3 times over the last month and each time made to feel very welcome. The waiting staff really take time to make sure they have your order correct before going to the kitchen and are very careful with dietary requirements and allergens. We arrived with two toddlers who were made to feel just as welcome as we were and not seen as a problem which can be the case when you're dining out with small kids that get bored. Our toddler is going through a phase (plain food) and wouldn't eat the tomato sauce. We asked if they could rinse the sauce off the pasta in hot water for us however they just cooked some fresh which she ate! All in all, a wonderful place to visit with a great dining experience, good food and service that will make a repeat customer from first time guests!

We went on Wednesday for a birthday meal. We booked in advance. There were 14 in our party, but it was pretty quiet with only a few other customers with it being mid week. Everyone said their choice of food was lovely, I had the garlic mushrooms and spicy chicken quesadillas. Both very tasty and good size portions, so I skipped dessert. Those who had dessert said that was good as well. There were some vegetarians among us, who said their meals were spot on. A lovely lady served us, and she couldn't be more helpful, checking on us often, refilling our drinks, and at the end, they played "Happy Birthday" and we all sang while wearing fetching sombreros, which we later removed and spun onto the birthday girls head. It was great fun. Will definitely go again. The waitress took a photo of us all, we didn't have to asked, she suggested it. Brilliant service. Complimentary parking to the side of the hotel for anyone using the restaurant, easy access for my disabled mum. I've added the photo she took, and also an action shot of the human hooplah, no pictures of the food I'm afraid, we were too busy scranning to take photos. 100% recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We've only ever ordered delivery because I don't drive(everything here is backwards to me🥴) but being from the United States I'd been spoiled for choice with Mexican food while living on the west coast, and actual authentic Mexican food was something I missed terribly. After having local "nachos" (tortilla chips with spaghetti sauce and cheddar 🤢) too many times, I'd all but given up until I found this restaurant. Even my very British "toothpaste is too spicy" husband said the spicy beef burger is the best burger he's ever had. We've ordered a few times from them and will have to actually attend the restaurant in person soon to see what we might be missing. If this place ever closes, I will cry like a baby.

Been to this fab little place today evening with family for husband’s birthday meal.We didn’t reserve table but they managed to accommodate us.After seating we asked tables to be changed to a corner one as our little on was not very comfortable in middle of people. The staff done this promptly and was very polite and accommodating.

Superb food.Fresh and quality was top notch. Toilets were spotless and maintained a high standard for such a small place.

Unfortunately the fire alarm started going off and was continuing to go off intermittently. The service carried out as normal while they were trying their absolute best to sort it. Later the waiters and I think the manager came to each table apologising for the noise and told us all food is free of charge due to this. The place was busy and nearly all tables were full being a Friday night. That gesture was totally unexpected and I know it must have been hard for them to come to that decision. We would have been happy with a discounted bill but this was customer service at its peak. We usually pay by card and only had some cash which we left for the waiter. Your staffs are a credit to the restaurant and food is fab.The graceful way of managing the challenge tonight was very impressive. Will definitely come back to this place with no hesitation.Thankyou for...

I recently organized a staff outing to celebrate one of my team members' birthdays, and it turned out to be an incredible experience. The decorations were exceptional, creating an ambiance reminiscent of a high-end restaurant in Cancun. Having visited Mexico before, I can attest to the authenticity of the vibes we encountered from the moment we arrived. The staff was remarkably accommodating and maintained cheerful smiles throughout our visit. They promptly addressed all our requests and even introduced some creative improvisations and a dance to enhance the birthday celebration.

The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented, with no delays in service. The drinks were equally impressive; I highly recommend trying their cocktails— they were outstanding! Additionally, there is secure parking available for free at the hotel and restaurant located in central Wakefield. I enjoyed the evening so much that I decided to book a room upstairs. This has been one of the best weekends I've experienced in quite some time, leading us to plan three more work outings at this venue. Overall, it was an exceptional experience with nothing that could have gone wrong during our visit. Thank...
