Starbucks Coffee — Restaurant in Wakefield

Ordered delivery via Uber Eats hence only 1 star for Atmosphere as didn’t apply. I have ordered from this particular Starbucks a few times & service always great. Other people have commented that staff are miserable but, although I haven’t met them, I can’t believe this, rather they are hard worked & probably short staffed. I always get personal messages, such as enjoy your food, written on the bags addressed to my name with a smiley face etc. I have ordered from other Starbucks & never had this. Also if something is missing they write me a lovely note apologising. Unfortunately isn’t an option to tip the servers on Uber Eats just the driver ( come on Uber you must rectify this!!) otherwise I would definitely tip them. Having had jobs working with the public myself & a career in the Health Service, I can sympathise with anyone in a similar situation as it can be extremely trying on occasions, especially when work gets beyond a normal tolerance of busy lol. Please, remember before leaving a really negative review, that, as most of you know from your own own job, these days Employers hire less staff & expect folks to multitask to the extreme, often with little support or training. One of the reasons I bought my house across the road was because there was a Starbucks here... But it's just a waste of time. The coffee is not good! The garage next door has a Starbucks machine, and it's much better coffee. I know by the smell of it if I'm going to get a good coffee or not. That beautiful aroma is missing.. there's no mild froth on the top, and it tastes bitter... It's almost like the coffee maker isn't being maintained!! I drink my coffee black by the way and lived in New York for 7 years, then Toronto for 2 more. I know what good coffee should be. I've given up trying to get this Starbucks to improve itself and bought a Nespresso machine instead. I have no reason to go...

The ham and cheese croissant I had was great, warmed and melted in the oven and delicious I had a large iced caramel coffee with whipped cream on top, again well made and super tasty! The server was excellent, knowledgeable and very polite, the guy who made my croissant was also very good, plus the lady who did my coffee Over all the experience was great, but I have four stars not five, because the toilets were all blocked off and out of order, meaning I had to go to the adjacent fuel station for a wee!
