The Hop — Restaurant in Wakefield

Been to few private parties here. First private party I went to they sold the drinks then was telling us to leave. So didn’t get chance to finish them. The second private party was letting people buy drinks from hop. Not acceptable when it’s private. The third was at an engagement party was a lovely night. The couple of staff were lovely. But then they started letting people from the hop come into the private party to buy drinks. This isn’t acceptable especially when food was served for guests of the party and complementary drinks. One guy got funny with one of the bridesmaid to be when she asked him to leave as it was a private party. Someone got their drink knocked over by a guy from the hop. When the staff served him over the bar . The girl asked for another drink from the staff told them they would have to pay for another if wanted one. The manager Scott who hadn’t been there all night suddenly appeared . He was on some sort of power trip . Was rude and needs a bit more experience in customer service. Refused to give the future bride and groom there deposit back. Might be great for seeing bands. But wouldn’t book a private party here. Cause it certainly...

Really disappointing ! In with a couple of friends, Order a blueberry pancake beer which run out half way through pulling. These things happen so ordered a lager instead with a couple of Yorkshire blinds for my friends while still at the bar after paying . I took a drink of the lager that was off , I made the barman aware straightaway and said I’m really sorry I can’t drink this can I get a sol instead. Appalling manager had my daughter in tears at her engagement party, recommended by a friend of the owner started of so well then as you would expect at at engagement family friends teens babies then the appalling manager said all teens toddlers out by 8 even tho it was a private party in a private room his attitude was not someone who is customer facing arrogant small man,spoilt a very good evening with his little man syndrome attitude do think carefully about booking this venue nice place...
