I went for the Pizza and Prosecco afternoon and came away disappointed - no soap, dirty glasses, and mozzarella on a vegan pizza. There was no soap in the ladies' toilets at all (despite there being about ten sinks) so I let the staff know immediately, however there was still no soap when I left 5 hours later. I suspect this compete lack of soap is not unusual. I had to ask for a clean prosecco glass because mine had dirty smears and pink lipstick from the previous user still visible (this has happened on previous visits to the bar). The staff were well aware that I was vegan, however the pizza that was brought to me was covered in mozzarella cheese. When I spoke to the member of staff who made the pizza it turned out he did "not know what vegans can have". Rather than checking with me before cooking, he had guessed. The Establishment say they can cater for vegans yet clearly have not trained all their staff to understand dietary requirements fully, and they do not have a dairy-free alternative cheese, which can be picked up at any supermarket. At first I had assumed that the mozzarella WAS a dairy-free alternative, and it was only when I tried it that I realised it wasn't - had I been allergic to dairy (like many people who order vegan meals) this could have made me very poorly. The staff apologised immediately and offered to make me a fresh pizza (however the lack of a dairy-free cheese alternative meant my vegan pizza was less than exciting). Overall I felt dissatisfied with the level of hygiene, and concern that staff are not adequately trained to prepare food correctly. I hope the Establishment can improve on these points and then visiting the bar will be much...
Read moreAbsolutely fuming how we has a group we’re treated by the steroid filled fat head bouncer. Our friend fell asleep and was thrown out fair enough. His parter went to see if he was ok and so did my husband. My husband was then coming back to finish his just purchased drink when the bouncer ripped it out of his hand and pushed him forcefully out the door. He then back handed my friend and pushed her in the chest has hard as he possibly could. She’s not very big so went flying with force. Her mum then said that’s uncalled for that’s my daughter when the fat head bouncer then grabbed her drink and told her to shut up or he would pour it over her head. He then pushed a 60 year old woman with all his might down the steps. When we were leaving at least 15 people in blue and more bounces plus two police officers arrived and the fat head was screaming come on come to my friend trying to goad her to get herself in trouble. He was also calling the racist card absolutely nothing was said to him by anyone. I would love the Establishment to look at the cctv footage of what happened but that won’t happen. He should lose his badge the way he was treating people while off his...
Read moreHorrible experience!! We felt really discriminated against. We got into the bar thinking we could have a few glasses of red wine, it seemed a nice atmosphere but it was all a show. When we entered we asked to taste their different types of red wines and decided on a Pinot noir. The bar was empty. Once we paid we were told that some bottomless Prosecco promotion was happening and that someone might need to sit on our seat but they were not too sure when those people would arrive. 5 minutes later the waiter who serves us came to us and asked us if we booked the bottomless Prosecco, knowing very well that we didn’t. He then told us to move seats as two people had arrived who booked bottomless Prosecco. Every single table was offered table water apart from us, when I asked for it I received a single glass. It was very cheeky of the bar staff to let us purchase wine and then not let us sit where we want to sit. They should have told us from the very beginning not when we had already paid....
