Have been getting my lunch a few times a week from here over the last year. Usually good until the last three visits. Baguettes are now refrigerated most days (in September 2025) so a nice crispy baguette is now soft and stale that really doesn't need to be. A Ploughman's comes with mayonnaise on rather than pickle which is a bit backward, when I politely mentioned a Ploughman's is meant to have pickle not mayo I was glared at like I was from Pluto. Pay by card and they put a compulsory tip on the card machine (which I felt compelled to give as was served by a young lad who was brilliant) but then leaving with a soft/stale baguette and owner is miserable more often than not makes me feel like I've been bent over and had a glass encrusted baseball bat inserted into my rear. I feel they have gone lax and lost passion which is disappointing as a deli in Abersoch is a license to print money but they don't seem to care or are capable of taking constructive criticism by the lack of reply on the reviews. I'm sorry but it...
Read moreI went in this afternoon and asked for a plain ham baguette. The woman (I think she was the manager) said “we can’t do that because it’s not how we operate”. I then replied “you did one for me last time”. She then said “it depends on how busy it is”. I was the only customer in the shop so I said “but I’m the only person in here”. The woman then got aggressive with me and said “would you like to come in here and do it yourself I have told you why I’m not arguing with you. These poor girls have been here since 08:30. What have you done today?”. (It was 14:30 at the time) I then replied “I’ve drove down here today I’m not arguing with you I’m just having a conversation”. She was then threatened me saying I wouldn’t be served again so I asked for my money back and left. This is a real shame because I have always like going to the Abersoch deli as the baguettes have always been lovely. I will not be going again- a plain ham baguette is not a big ask and I do not appreciate how the woman in there...

We shared a pastie, a tuna baton and a coffee and there was not one bit of disappointment. A rarity in this day and age. It was tasty and fresh and not one bit was left. Also, I must say the service was polite and pleasant. Something else which is lacking in many establishments today. The only downside was the cost of the cakes. A bit too expensive really. Never mind, saves my waistline...
