Burger King — Restaurant in Wales

Visited on 16.07.22, and the whole experience was dismal. Ordering the food was made a mission by the drip on the the other end. Not a difficult order, but had to continually repeat myself. The food was presented using a blue plastic crate, which you have to take the food out of. The bag broke as I tried to lift the full bag over the edge of the crate with one hand (I'm disabled), and the food fell on the floor with most falling straight into the drain located directly under the service window! Absolutely no reaction from the burger King employee, who just went to walk away from the window! I asked for more chips as they were now down a drain, and was met with a half hearted reply "they'll have to be cooked fresh though". Then told to park up and wait for fresh chips. Parked and waited, only to find chicken fries missing from our bag. Notified the employee when she brought fresh chips. Waited a while and she returns empty handed, saying "we checked and the chicken fires fell down the drain too, so" and proceeds to walk away! I said that I still wanted chicken fires and was I expected to eat them out of the drain?. After waiting nearly 30, mins, we eventually ate our cold burgers and red-hot chips and chicken fries. Horrendous customer service from supervisor in charge, we found an object in our food and returned the item to the supervisor in charge, she totally dismissed the item which was roughly 4 to 5 inches long and told us it was onion skin !! This was done infront of other customers by comparing an onion skin to the item found in our food, I explained that I am a chef and restaurant owner myself only to be told that she didn’t believe me and it simply was onion skin dismissing my concerns completely!! I have taken said item and will be forwarding it to food hygiene for analysis as the item looked like some kind of worm and not a onion skin, I have been in the food industry for over 30 years and would know the difference between onion skin and something else being in my food. Horrendous experience and shall be taking this matter further, the young supervisor needs proper training on how to deal with customers and a check on her attitude. I have emailed head office and await there reply. Hopefully the results will be better than my experience at said restaurant. Shocking and so...

We arrived just before 3pm. Used the drive through. What we received was luke warm and as there was only 1 car in the car park, I don't know how long it had been waiting to be ordered. One of them was very greasy too, like they just cooked the extra meat patty and added it to the burger, making it a double whopper for hubby. It was also not exactly what we ordered as it didn't come with cheese as requested and the coffee didn't look like the large size we ordered either. We didn't return to query anything as we just wanted to eat and get home as we'd already had a bad day out, so this was supposed to be a treat... However, months later we returned for a 2nd chance as we had a hankering for a whopper. This time we ate in. There was 2 ahead of us who ordered. The food was warmer than last time and as tasty as ever. The staff were friendly but they seemed to be on a "go slow" day and I'm glad I wasn't there during the lunchtime rush.
