Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Wales

This is a new Costa cafe at Cross Hands, a rapidly expanding trading and business centre.

As you would expect for a new venture it is well designed, clean and in a convenient location. For a Costa it is spacious. The food and drinks on offer are typical and in fact identical to other outlets in the chain.

When I was there service was good - at the time a new member of staff was being monitored by a helpful experienced barista. The tables were clean and the whole area was well maintained, but then it was new. The toilet areas were also well maintained.

The is a drive-through facility available, with one member of staff wearing a headphone to respond to any drive-through orders.

At present the whole establishment is very good - it will be interesting to see if it is maintained as the area expands and more clientele visit Costa as it's location becomes...

Today was not a good day i'm afraid, on arrival there was a sanitizer by the door on the way in, but that was it. We were ushered to a table which hadn't been sanitized after the previous customers, we asked the assistant behind the counter if our table could be sanitized, on the arrival of the assistant my wife asked, "shouldn't this table have been sanitized before we sat down" to which a reply came, and I quote, " Don't know, I'm not out here", she wiped the table and not the chairs and walked off leaving us bewildered, we duly re-sanitized our hands as an extra precaution. To people our age group 67 + the corvid virus is lethal, so it seems money in the till is more important than our lives . Needless to say we will not be calling at this costas...

Not a great experience at this particular branch, no WiFi (I turned up with my laptop to get some work done) the area lacked good cellular reception so hotspotting was off the cards

But the worst part was I asked what breakfast deal they had as there was no information shown, the clerk informed me they are one of the few that don't offer any deals, such as a bacon bap for £2 with a coffee etc
