Cafe Aroma — Restaurant in Wales

I visited Cafe Aroma located at 120 Crwys Rd, Cardiff CF24 4NR, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing.

While the food was average, I was appalled by the owner's behaviour towards his staff. During my three visits, I witnessed the owner demean and berate a particular staff member in front of customers, especially targeting the south Asian staff member. This behaviour is unacceptable and made me feel uncomfortable as a customer.

Furthermore, the owner was very hostile and defensive towards customers, including myself. When I challenged him about his rude behaviour towards me, he justified it by saying, "this is just the way I talk." This dismissive behaviour is not acceptable and shows a lack of respect towards customers.

Overall, I was disappointed with the consistently poor quality of service and the owner's treatment of his staff. Based on my experience, I would advise others to avoid this place. It's essential to support businesses that treat their staff with respect and provide a welcoming environment...

I’ve visited cafe aroma three times over the last three weeks. The food was okay. However each time, the owner had a awful attitude towards his staff. He would demean and berate a particular staff member infront of customers, especially towards the south Asian staff member. He would also have a very hostile and defensive attitude towards customers himself and if he was challenged would continue with a dismissive behaviour. Today, he spoke rudely to me and when I challenged him, he justified himself by saying ‘this is just the way I talk’. Tried this place twice, and both have been quite bad experiences. The service has been on and off, the first time visiting the owner was quite surly but the second time the person serving us was much nicer. The food has been a very poor factor in my experience, ther first time it was overall sub-par and the second time the food had a layer of salt on top of it, which mad it taste horrid and gave me stomach cramps afterwards. My partner had a bit better of a time than me food wise with the veggie options but still below par. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the food or service, but if your looking for coffee and tea and nice decor it...
