Cardiff is absolutely stacked with so many Indian restaurants, some are great and some, well are not so great.
This particular Indian Restaurant has been one of my long standing favourites in the area, for many years I might add and it's easy to see why, delicious food, warm inviting restaurant and excellent service keeps me coming back! 🌶️

🍽️ Review:
We were treated to an absolute feast and there honestly was not a dish we did not like, there were of course a few dishes we liked more than others but genuinely everything tasted amazing 👌
As there was literally so much food I think it's best I tell you the highlights...
Tikka Tacos - I never knew I needed these in my life but they were insane, super tasty! Loved these!
Love the dynamite chilli chicken and the chicken chat was lovely too! 😋
In terms of our curries, the chicken cheese kofta was the one! Can't say I've ever tried a cheesy, meaty curry before but you know what it works!
Also a really big fan of the Jaipuri, just the right level of spice. Absolutely delicious!
Needless to say this place is an absolute must...
Read moreIf you are Celiac or Vegan or like me both this is probably not the restaurant for you. My friends booked this restaurant for a meal and after looking at thier menu online and still being unsure about what I could eat I phoned a day in advance to notify them of my dietary needs. They assured me it was fine and that they could prepare me a meal. Unfortunately on arrival they did not seem to fully understand exactly what celiac or vegan meant and after being offered omelette and chicken and chips I was finally told I could eat the vegetable biriyani without the sauce (so essentially oily rice and what I suspect was frozen veg) having something prepared fresh didn't appear to be an option as I was led to believe by my previous phonecall. Without a starter or a side dish (they are all preprepared and containing carnation milk I was informed) that I could eat I was left with an empty plate as my fellow dining companions had their starters. I had requested a couple of poppadoms in place of a starter but they never came. My main meal without an accompanying sauce was very bland and not what I would usually expect from a biriyani. I'm not completely sure but I do suspect the veg were frozen with some sort of flour coating as I've felt a little unwell and 'glutenized' for the few days following the meal. It's unfortunate as my friends who booked the restaurant have been there several times previous and enjoy the food so I'm sure if your a meat eater then it would be satisfactory. From my own impressions although polite, I found the service slow and a little shambolic. I was disappointed with my 'meal' and wouldn't go again. There are better curry...
Read moreVisited at 1900 on a Saturday for a pre-booked sit down meal for 12 (two people dropped out due to covid). Made the reservation via Kukd, which was accepted pretty quickly by the restaurant at the begging of April. However, three days prior to the meal, I was contacted by the restaurant requesting a £10 deposit per person. Not a big issue, but would've been nice to be advised at the time of the booking that I'd have to pay a deposit.
To the night of the meal. Wow! Place can easily accomodate a fair few people and parties at the same time.
Orders for food and drinks were taken within 10-15 minutes of being seated. A large batch of poppadums and chutneys were served quickly. Everyone had a starter and seeing what people were getting as well as the presentation of some starters shows that the restaurant want to make things pop!
Mains were next. This is where we unfortunately had a few hiccups with some of the people not getting their mains or rice, and had to wait quite a while for these to be brought, even though the staff were made aware that food orders were missing. It didn't help as the staff had to be reminded again, so some of the party were waiting at least 20 minutes for the dishes to be served, thus slightly dampening the night.
Overall, the presentation and staff were great and efficient (apart from the one issue). Prices were average for an Indian restaurant and not overpriced. Everybody enjoyed their meals and concluded that they'd come back to this...
