Me and my work colleague came to this cafƩ on Wednesday after 1pm to get a coffee and quick bite to eat while on our lunch break. When we came, it was very busy but there was a table outside and they told us to sit down there and wait for order to be taken. After 10 minutes of waiting, I was worried we would run out of lunch break time, so I went to the bar area and asked if I could order because of shortage in time. I have been refused and told to wait at the table for order to be taken. I have then raised my concern and have asked if the they think that they can provide food in next 40 minutes. The answer was "no, sorry". I have asked if we could at least have 2 coffees and ready scones in this time. The lady at the bar said "Yes, we can do it. Please go to your table and wait for order to be taken". So I went back and waited for another 0.5 hour. Nobody came to see us. We had to leave by this time (back to work), hungry and with no drop of food or drink.. I did tell the lady at the exit that we had to go and showed my disappointment. I have barely got an apology.
We wanted to go to this cafƩ because of all nice reviews but experience was completely different. I won't be back again!
My advise - please talk to customers to manage their expectations at the start, don't just sit them at the table and leave...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI hate leaving negative reviews but I cannot stand bad customer service and Iām afraid thatās what we received here.
We walked into a busy inside part of the restaurant, no acknowledgment though staff members saw us?
We went around the back, waited ages.. no acknowledgement, no sorry for the wait just āIāll be with you in a momentā. It wasnāt fully booked or anything either. We have one vegan in the party who was looking forward to the lentil chilli but didnāt get to try it.
Iāve been here before and the food was good but again the service is lacking, why oh why canāt you just be polite and acknowledge people with general courtesy.
Apologies for the wait, hi welcome to so and so, thanks for waiting, how are you today? All basic human manners.
We thankfully found another restaurant around the corner where they had human decency and even asked us how we were, shocking to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTravelling from North Wales to South we arrived at Newton hungry and needing susintance. We arrived eleven of us 6 adults and 5children at the Cafe Brisco. We were made extremely welcome and the host made every effort to make sure we were settled down comfortably. From a very good Menu including vegetarian options we all choose a range of items to suit our pallets The chef came and introduced herself to us to ask if was ok to serve children first which in our minds was amazing. We all eat extremely well and the home cooked food went down a treat especially home made soup .Quiche and Chilli lentil dish exceptional. To finish off the home made cakes and especially the scones were just like Nana used to make. Well done to all at Cafe Brisco for your welcome and wonderful hospitality .In the words of that famous actor Arnie I'll be...
