I feel honoured to be drinking in a pub home of the British National Domino Champions 1986, it’s a wonder they could see the spots with the great choice of beers on sale! Tucked away off the Main Street and only a stones throw from the birthplace of Robert Owen, this place is a must for any real ale drinker. Certainly one of the best Real Ale pubs I've visited in Mid Wales. A very warm welcome from Mel and Karen, the landlords who provide a 'curse free ' environment. It's a well decorated, comfortable pub where young and not so young can meet and enjoy the wider and frequently changing CAMRA ales and wines. Excellent local pub with warm and friendly hosts. Having returned to my home town in nearly 20 years, this is exactly the sort of welcome I was expecting and the hosts, Mel and Karen did not disappoint .
