"EAT OUT HELP OUT" Booked a table for 7pm, Arrived nothing available waited 20 minutes to be seated, Packed in by the bar while waiting no social distancing in place due to how busy it was. We were shown our table before others who had booked and been waiting longer than us? They walked out in the end.
We paced our order but i noticed presentation with food had changed in appearance to how it was normally served every curry being served seemed to be identical? My main was nice but didn't taste anything like it was described on the menu & my partners different curry also looked the same as every other curry being served this evening?
The table opposite us seemed to have been waiting along time and asked for more drinks, The older server replied CANT YOU SEE IM BUSY!! in a very angry manner, he then had to be calmed down by the younger waiter.
The man later apologised? By slamming his hand on the other mans hand that was resting on the table! Probably not the best moved with social distancing measures in place?
We finished our meal which we both enjoyed and continued to drink our bottle of wine, Approximately 50 minutes after being seated we were promptly told we need to go and sit by the bar so they can serve other people! At this point it wasn't as busy and 4 tables were empty?
Feeling quite shocked and disappointed by this request we moved to the crammed bar area
Then comes the next demand.... As the food is half price but the wine is not! We MUST pay for our wine by cash and the meal can be paid by card with the 50% deduction! Also telling other people the same thing after dinning.
I understood fully about alcohol not being half price but felt this was very unnecessary and confusing customers & causing larger ques by the bar when being promoted to leave our tables and pay at the bar!
This was the third day of the "EAT OUT HELP OUT OFFER" So they really should have had a better understanding & set up of this offer by now?
Overall very disappointed with service and attitude, Yes they were very busy for a spell but all felt very rude and rushed!
Will i be returning while this crazy rush rush get em in get em out offer is on?
NO THANK YOU! WONT BE RUSHING BACK!
Their is no reason for them to be pushing for maximum customer within the offer period they are losing nothing! Walk ins continued all evening, None was turned away regardless of how full it got, Making social distancing near...
Read moreAbsolutely fantastic, the food is the most authentic I've eaten in the uk
Friendly through out, the staff are excellent at recommending dishes, partner was struggling to choose her dishes because of various dietary requirements and the staff whom were absolutely fantastic quick off the mark recommending dishes that when they arrived were absolutely delicious and the drinks here where I must admit the beer and cider selection was the average choices , however the wine list is one of the best I've seen for a long while, we chose the spanish roja well it was full of flavour medium texture and we ended up buying another bottle and what's more it was imported now for the main attraction the food. Absolutely brilliant and didn't leave anything these chefs know how to make real authentic cruisine unlike many Indian restaurants that do the English style I.e massala buhna etc, these chefs do the lot including many dishes of there native States mostly from Bangladesh. From the starters to the dessert it was wonderful, when we pass through these parts again we will be definitely...
Read moreComing from next door to Bradford - Curry Capital - we have high standards. We were spending a few days in Mid Wales and eating out options were limited but we thought we'd try Gulshan. So glad we did. The customer service was second to none and the venue lovely. Screens between tables provided safety but without making it feel sterile or crammed. Choice of dishes were plentiful and they were happy to adapt for personal choice if required. Lovely pickle tray to accompany crispy poppadoms followed by tasy starters and mains. You can buy alcohol here. Would...
