Express Cafe - Newtown — Restaurant in Wales

Arrived around 10 on a Saturday morning. Fairly quiet so plenty of room. There are tables under cover outside as well. Cafe was clean and well presented. Light and airy.

Breakfast menu is quite good. 6 set breakfasts as well as a couple of other choices including vegetarian options and muffins etc.

The rest of the menu has a lot of options from sandwiches to roast dinners.

Ordered set breakfast 2 from a very pleasant gentleman. 2 bacon, 2 sausage, egg, beans and 2 slices of toast. With a mug of coffee it came to £9.45 so fairly reasonable.

Breakfast was freshly cooked, hot and really nice. Coffee was hot and fresh as well.

Only complaint, the table was very sticky. I couldn't move my plate or coffee. The plate actually stu k to the table.

Possibly the best cafe in Newtown! I always try and get a seat here whenever I want to eat in town (not always possible as it’s so popular!) and I’m never disappointed. The food is always superb and portion sizes amazing! Very bad experience the baguette seemed unbaked and they forgot my drink which I called them asking for the drink and after 1 hour i was still waiting so i called again and told them to forget about the drink but i wanted to know about the processing fee that they charged online which was said is only for payments with the card!!! 😳 this fee noone charge anymore!!
