Stunning place.. we were excited to be there, pic fell off the wall, right beside us. We didn't get our meal after waiting over an hour, (we arrived 11.30, were allowed to order the linch menu, we left around 12.50pm) they brought bacon on the Vegetarian meal, I was asked if I was really a veggie! Manager came just inside the room..(popped in) at my request, said it was 'just the way it is, as we are busy.." Waited again..but felt humiliated, (others were eating or had left) so we decided to leave, as we paid and I explained whyvwe were leaving the awful manager told us to "Just get out will you.."..we paid for our coffee and left. I think once they get the kitchen sorted it will be ok.. Tiny kitchen, the wait on staff were apologetic and attentive when we arrived. Such a shame to be treated like that..the manager was very stressed but could have handled the situation better. As we left people arriving were told it was an hours wait. We went to another cafe in town and were eating...

Had a coffee and some rarebit . Coffee wasn't bad, not the best coffee I have ever had but arguably not the worst. Price was average for a coffee. Hot milk was a nice touch.
The rarebit which is essentially fancy cheese on toast felt a bit expensive for what I had. Although tasty and from previous reviews they use local produce, I can understand a slightly increased price . But at £8.50 for a single slice I felt it was a bit steep.
I can't fault the taste of it nor the presentation. The crops were nice too though I'd have liked a few more. And the chutney and coleslaw was also nice yet again not enough. I feel like either 2 rounds would suffice or a lower price. Hence why I'm only giving it a 4/5. Otherwise the place was really nice and I would...
Read moreWhat a delightful find! We were in Mold for another reason and stumbled across Caffi’r Cob. From the decor, the atmosphere, service and of course the food, everything was super. I had the small breakfast with proper bacon, tasty sausage and a perfectly cooked fried egg accompanied by white bloomer toast. Blinking delicious! I also had a new coffee experience by way of a Cortado, a double expresso with an equal amount of warm milk. What a flavour sensation. So good, I had two ☕ On chatting to the owner Rob, he explained the flavour comes from African coffee beans roasted in North Wales. This cafe is so good, I’d definitely make a special visit. They also hold regular Tapas and Welsh evenings which would be worth a visit. Oh yes, they are also dog friendly. Bruce Bonus...
