Oh dear, where to start? I had the scallops starter, at £13 I was expecting 2 or 3 queen scallops, or 5 normal size. I got three tiny ones, the diameter of pennies. They were cooked alright, but these are West End of London prices! Partner had the Caprese, the cheese was old and hard, the tomatoes were just out the fridge, too cold, and tasteless. It's only two ingredients, and no cooking involved. This is really bad. My lamb shank mains was small, but lots of potatoes (cos they're cheap) which were not nice in both taste and texture, and were left uneaten. The "red wine sauce" was plain old packet mix gravy, thick with monosodium glutamate (I could taste it) and quickly congealed on the plate. My partner ordered the "peppercorn sauce" with hers and it was exactly the same sauce, "just add boiling water" crud. Note to chef; a peppercorn sauce is supposed to be CREAMY, WITH PEPPERCORNS!! She sent it straight back. The food is on a par with a Toby Carvery, and not unlike a Tesco ready-meal, but priced like a Michelin star restaurant. Skipped dessert and bought a Magnum on the way home, basically to get rid of the taste of the monosodium glutamate, that was the highlight of my evening out. On the countertop, when we were paying (or being robbed), there was a tray with a bowl of ready grated parmesan. On the same tray was a bottle of table cleaner (disinfectant spray) with the cleaning cloth hanging over the bowl of parmesan. I can only think that the good reviews on here are coming from the staff, the owners, or people whose only experience of eating out is a kebab shop or McDonalds. We told the chef all of this and he was sheepish, evasive and plainly didn't want to know. He certainly didn't care. So, if you would like to spend good money on an Italian meal, I can recommend a place in Llandaff called Porro. They actually make their food in the kitchen, not just microwave catering supplies, and packet mix...

Extremely annoyed with your service in your Pontypridd restaurant. I booked a table online on your website a good few days ago to book a table for 3 of us for Saturday the 1st July at 6pm. When I made the booking online and wasn’t able to check the booking I wasn’t able to edit the booking and wasn’t able to go back to check how many people I’d booked it for. This reservation was for my friend birthday. When we arrived at the restaurant I was told I’d booked it for 2 people I explained that I wasn’t able to change the booking online. We were given two options we either eat outside or we can have a table now but we can only order a main meal NO STARTERS or DESSERT. We didn’t want to eat outside as it was cold so we decided to just have a main I was sternly told that he needed the table back at 7pm. As it was my friend birthday and she loves your restaurant we stayed any other time would have walked out. We were all disappointed that we were unable to order starters. So we ordered our mains my friends mains come out at 6:40pm no sign of mine. My friend had to call one of the waiters over to chase up my main by this point it’s 6:55pm but the time mine come to the table the girls had finished there’s. Your food is out standing but the service was shocking it was just 3 of us and the waiter was making the situation worse it wasn’t as if there was 8 of us and the booking read 2 people if that was the case I could understand. Even though we went on to enjoy the evening elsewhere it did leave me extremely annoyed. I...

I'd heard of Casa Bianca, but I've not tried it until recently. I wasn't disappointed.. We were met at the door to be seated by a lovely and pleasant young lady who kindly showed us to our seats. Drink orders were taken, and then after, we were given a short while to look at the menu our food order was taken. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to take photos of all of our meals, although they all looked and tasted absolutely fabulous. I had the pork tomahawk steak, which is shown in the photo. It really did taste amazing. It melted in my mouth, other dishes which were ordered, lasagne, carbonara, bolognaise, margarita pizza and a chicken dish. Everything both looked and tasted very amazing. The prices were reasonable, not too expensive. I will certainly be going back. I would also highly recommend Casa Bianca to anyone. There is only one drawback and that is the lack of parking facilities. Finding somewhere to park can be a...

We visited on Thursday for a family birthday for the first time and none of us had been before. We had a great night, we all tried different dishes for starters and mains and they were all great, the only suggestion would be to have a dip with the mozzarella sticks, we asked for a dip and had a tomato base for dipping and this was great. The house white was great too. The place is like the tardis, it looks like a terraced house from outside but it’s much more spacious inside and really nicely decorated. The service was also great throughout. There’s an extensive menu, it’s impressive that there are so many dishes and all of great quality. Would highly recommend, and we’ll be back soon.

Beautiful food although canneloni was slightly dry and needed more sauce. Lovely atmosphere and staff were nice but we were left long periods without being asked if we wanted any drinks etc inbetween. Drinks very expensive, £9 large wine and friend got charged £11 for double gin and lemonade ( £4 each for gin measure and £3 for no more than quarter glass lemonade on top ) we did ask and were told same price for full glass as is a large dash. Pricey for a double gin in a local restaurant.
