Absolutely love this place! As soon as you step into the shop the staff greet you with enthusiasm, and are always up for a chat for anything whether it's a global issue raging around the world or just a good chat about the day outside the windows. The food comes out catered for you and the smell of chips is amazing! My personal favourite is a fish without batter, which I usually order specially. The fish comes out with a thin layer of nice crisp that makes a crunch sound once you bite into it, but the middle remains soft and juicy. The chips are looking golden brown and steaming coming out of the pan! Just the way they should be! The staff is working relentlessly behind counter ensuring all the guidelines have been met and each customer can be served safely amidst this pandemic. Service, staff, food and cleanliness were ALL excellent. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The fish was lovely with a light crisp batter. The chips too were a generous portion and delicious. Crispy outside, fluffy inside and fried to perfection, not at all greasy. I always find that the BEST seaside Fish and Chip shops are never on the front promenade. They always tend to be back a few streets and a bit further into the town. It's not hard to find though. just down the road from the Train station and 'Spoons. Plenty of nice booths if you want to eat in, or it's only a few hundred feet to the beach.
