Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Wales

Average, this store really seems to lack of effort, the first fridge as you walk into the store doesn’t even work therefore the bottles of water / coke are warm, not a great first impression.

How that’s a medium cooler (pictured) drink I’ll never know, missing half of my beverage.

Personally, If I’d have been one of the three colleagues behind the counter I would’ve said ughhh that’s not right and remade it for the customer, that’s the difference between excellent customer service and just a pure lack of effort from the Costa team at Merthyr.

I scanned my rewards card for a second time on the visit and no beans were added to my card either.

Kind of stuck in the corner of Merthyr Retail Park but quite honestly it's a very well kept and spacious area for a snack and a coffee. Staff are extremely polite, courteous and are as quick as can be in serving those placing their orders. If you haven't tried one of their new Blueberry Bubble Frappes then you're missing out, they are really nice but they have a decent range of other cold drinks and well as the usual coffees and teas. Food and drink was OK. However, we came at 5pm and the place closes at 8, but we were made to feel unwelcome. Our drinks were given in paper cups and food takeaway cups. They were cleaning the floors ready for closing so they didn't allow us to use the toilets, telling us there was a 'plumbing issue'.

This behaviour makes us choose Nero over Costa. I think costa needs more training for their employees in...
