If I could give this place a zero I would, you need help, firstly let's talk about food. Chicken served less than the regulated standard of service temps, no evidence of probing within the food. Sent the food back and asked if the temp was checked and recorded to see a blank wide eyed child face who probably didn't know what day it was let alone what a temperature probe was. No washing of hands and no FORKS to eat with, the answer was we have spoons,,,,,,, thanks I will enjoy eating my chicken fillet salad with a spoon. Clearly there's a lack of training within the staff roles and the shift manager should be embarrassed of the complete lack of understanding the staff have and KFC you should be closing down for a week and doing a deep clean before EHO get their hands on you and your books. Management should be removed for the complete lack and failure within the establishment. Any way i digress whilst there 4 other customers had taken their food back in the time we were there. Now here's the kicker cleanliness, firstly I hardly find it OK that the monitors have sticky finger marks that thick that you have to squint to see the menu. Corners and edges..... don't ask you can't see the colour of the original tiles, tables..... meh was OK in the first instance till I realised the cleaner was going outside picking up rubbish with his lovely blue gloves on and then coming in with the same gloves and cleaning the tables and trays.... talk about the basics of cross contamination. So not only are you at risk for salmonella at the servery your also now being thrown other germs from the rubbish outside. So I stress for anyone with a low immune system or young children please do not eat here!!!!!!! Not till the Management has changed, staff trained and a professional company come in and deep clean. KFC I would be embarrassed if I was representing you within that store. Rant ended, not that it would matter, you don't care but hopefully people will see this and stay well clear of your store. Enjoy the...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible service from this branch of KFC, my partner went to pick up a party bucket with extras. The staff member who served had the worst attitude we had experienced. This was the beginning of a few issues:
They had no bottled drinks so gave my partner 4 cups of Pepsi, with no cup holder tray or help with taking away, she had to make a point of how can one carry all of this? Only then the staff offered to bag the drinks.
all the food was crammed into one paper bag. It was literally crammed to the top of the bag. On the way out, the bag ripped from the weight of the food and fell everywhere. The staff was ignorant, they just stood there and watched with no assistance. My partner had to raise a complaint before being given a replacement with the food this time being bagged properly (in two bags!). Take note of this people, the staff member gave attitude with no recognition of fault nor apology.
finally and most concerning, one of the chicken had metal wire in it! Please see photo(have been removed) and be warned. I’m questioning the food hygiene and/or have doubts if the food that dropped was actually replaced.
A truly horrible experience if I was able to give zero rating I would. This will be followed by a written complaint.
Update - Had an email from KFC with no apology and just a form with a plastic bag to send in the item. Sorry, but you guys have given me no choice but escalate to food standards. An apology would have solved all this....
Read moreThis is unlike any other KFC I've been to anywhere in the world, including one im Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, which is truly epic. The reasons are as follows: If you go there anytime after about 5pm, they never have any gravy left and to be honest, I dont want any of the Chicken offerings or the chips, without gravy. The chips are at best ok, and normally you'd rather have the chips from somewhere else. Even if its not busy and no one in front of you at the Drive-thru, and you order just s 6 piece bucket, youllgave to park up and wait a few to several minutes, probably. Whatever size bucket of what ever description, you will have mainly leg portions and or "undercarriage" which nobdy wants, really. So, there you go, my take on KFC, today, in Merthyr Tydfil. And the image on the illuminated sign and their bags/boxes is Rolf Harris and not Colonel Harland David Saunderswho started the franchise in South Salt Lake, Utah, in 1952. Bring bavk the "Colonel Saunders Kentucky Fried Chicken" shop I first had KFC from in Birmingham UK, in the Summer of 1976, whch was to a 12 year old lad from Heolgerrig, truly absolutely magnificent and amazing. If that can't be achieved, without the use of time travel, Miss Millies in City road, Cardiff which was a 29 mile drive, before the dualing of the A470, but worth it, as there wasnt another fried Chicken shop in Wales, at the time. Can you see where I'm coming...
