2 stars - Great food, but if you are not a white British you can expect poor service I visited Deadwood Smokehouse Mold yesterday with my wife, and we paid £76 for both of us. While the food was awesome and the kitchen staff really tried their best, the service was disappointing. 1) Despite having made a reservation, we were not greeted upon arrival - blonde lady from service seen us, but ignored us with stone cold look. After uncomfortable waiting for some time, we decided to seat ourselves. 2) We did not receive menus and had to ask for them. 3) When our food arrived, we realized we had not been given forks. We tried to get the attention of the service staff, but they ignored us for several minutes. Eventually, a member of the kitchen staff noticed us waving and helped us get forks, but by then, our dishes were no longer hot. 4) The staff asked the white British guests _a few times_ if they were happy with their meals but ignored us and did not ask if we were satisfied, which made us feel unwelcome. 5) I thought that perhaps the staff was overworked and not intentionally ignoring us, so I wanted to leave a tip. Usually, I receive the bill so I can leave a tip. However, I was not given a bill; instead, a gentleman simply brought the payment machine and not showed how much I should pay. I asked him to show me the amount first and asked for a bill. Gentleman said he would print it out, but he only gave me the credit card receipt. I explained that I wanted an itemized bill. He hadn't had a clue what I am talking about. I patently explained that a itemized bill is a piece of paper with the price for each item and the total sum, not just the credit card receipt. He seemed confused about my request, but I eventually received the itemized bill. It's also worth noting that the staff smiled and offered further assistance to the British guests around us, while we were met with somber faces, as if someone had died minutes ago. Nobody asked if we needed anything else, and at that point, I didn't bother asking for more drinks, even though I had wanted to purchase them. This was our third visit to Deadwood Smokehouse Mold. The food has always been good (the kitchen staff really tries hard!), but since the staff changed, it may not be the best place if you're not white british. They will make you feel unwelcome, even if you will spend a significant amount.

Nicely presented and looking meal, very appealing. The chilli cheese fries exceeded my expectations, melting in my mouth, bursting with flavour, leaving you with a moorish but satisfied feeling. Smoked maple cured American style crispy bacon was on par to my leading burger joint “5 Guys” here in the uk, however the meat was similar to the usual burger bars like Burger Shed and alike. Was shown a table at 12.05 But had to catch servers attention to order. Food finally came 35 minutes later, so not a place to come on lunch break unless you can takeover and hour for lunch!!! As I was running late, I proactively went to the bar to pay. The website is listing a location in Nantwich Cheshire and no reference to Mold near Wrexham where I went, and does not have a mobile web friendly version. Summary, Service could do with improvement. Food was great, however the meat was similar to Burger Shed or Smoke Haus. I feel they would be a good competitor and on Par with 5 Guys if they cooked and season the meat better. Will I go back, yes, I want to try the St Louis ribs and have some more of them fries. Also interesting to see if they come close to the real thing been as I worked in St Louis a few times and tried the local foods.

Wow just Wow My wife and I went for a date night and chose Deadwood Smokehouse for this evenings venue. We arrived a little early and was advised to have a drink in the lovely pub over the road until our table was ready. Bang on time for our booking, a team member came over to the pub to let us know our table was ready which I thought was brilliant. This happy go lucky chap was called Robbie (after Robbie Williams) he can tell you the story. We were shown to our seats, ordered our food and drink and didn't have to wait long at all before the most amazing sharing board arrived. Wow just Wow!! Perfectly prepared by the chef and presented like a work of art oozing with flavour. Robbie was a fantastic host and has a great sense of humour indeed. Made us feel very welcome, relaxed and set the mood for the evening. We highly recommend this restaurant and will 100% be dining there again. It may be a small venue but do not let that put you off as you will receive a much better and more personal service than a larger louder place. Cosy but just right. The food is just out of this world and great value too. Many Thanks Rob & Sarah

Lovely little place, we made a booking for 5pm and arrived 10 min before but our table wasn't free, which is fine. We had taken a seat at another table to look at the menu. The gent advised us that they are running behind due to a chef walking out (maybe in the future say, we are a chef down today as walking sounds very off-putting) I heard the gent advise that the next people are here but they were still finishing off their food, felt a bit sorry for them! Eventually, we moved over to the bigger table as we needed space for our young toddler. We ordered the food, burgers and ribs, and 1/2 chicken, and only the ribs came out and missed the chicken. They sorted out the mistake quickly, which was no problem. The food was amazing and plentiful. Burgers were delicious, and starters were spot on, too. They had to box the food up for me as I couldn't finish it. I had it the next day, which still tasted super nice and fell off the bone. I only marked it down due to the management side of things. We originally booked a table for 5.15pm, but they asked to move to 5pm, which we accommodated, but in the end, we had to wait until after 5 pm to get the table. Maybe advise customers how long you get your table for so they don't get asked to hurry up as the next guests are waiting. There was a big gap on waiting on our mains and we noticed table across us arrived much later then us and they got served their mains which was a bit annoying as my toddler was getting cranky as he was hungry and tired by then. But in the light of things I would recommend this place hopefully the service may improve and the staff will come up with a better system to move forward in the new year. The lady with blond hair was lovely to my son, and she seemed to care a lot in...

After many visits tonight will be the final, went into the restaurant tonight at 5pm after being seated was presented the menu and then was shown the offers menu. Server came to take the order and was then told sorry offer finished at 5 however the Waiter (possibly the manager) tried to sort this and gave us a free drink. After the food had been ordered however this is when things started to go down hill. The chefs could be heard making inappropriate comments through the window in the kitchen, at one point one was banging his head against the back door. The food then arrived and two bits of plastic was found in the food mixed into the actual burger. This instantly put me off. Upon letting the waiter know I was told “this is just cling film that the meat is wrapped in”. If this had been in a child’s meal they could’ve choked. I was then offered a free dessert however no longer wanted to eat there based on the plastic and the inappropriate chefs. I have had nothing but praise for deadwood however will not go back again.

In response to the so called manager, the fact you only respond to the bad reviews says it all, very professional. I missed out the bit where you dropped the Uber eats order all over the restaurant floor and just picked it up and delivered it anyway. The time we came in before that and you stated all your chefs had left because to quote “think they’re better than they actually are” the owners should look if you’re fit to carry...
