We arrived without a booking (and just wandered in off the street without any Google checking of reviews) and were immediately seated. We were a party of three with one in a wheelchair however, we were able to stow this in a corner.

The cafe/restaurant is wonderfully traditional; no blaring music, a classic menu and a decor that hasn't changed in years and absolutely doesn't need to. The staff were attentive, friendly, efficient and clearly good at what they do. We had three decent pots of tea, two huge BLTs, an egg and cress mayo all accompanied by a phenomenal salad and two decent portions of chips for £40. The bacon was excellent, the bread fresh and the salad crispy. The homemade coleslaw was perfect. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked well made and hearty. We'd go back in a heartbeat (and we're exceptionally fussy); especially on a blustery cold day in a window seat opposite the sea.

On a side note, the fresh cakes and the ice cream parlour looked wonderful. Something...

Visited rhos on sea today for a walk along the prom and always see this place busy but haven’t been in till now.

Always seems busy with elderly people which must mean it’s good.

We was asked to take a seat and someone would take our order. Took 3-4 minutes for someone to take our order and about 5 minutes to be served.

Friendly staff

Nice atmosphere, dogs inside the cafe

Cappuccino was a 10 out of 10, millionaires shortbread the same. Came with unexpected butterscotch drizzle (incase you’re not a fan).

We ordered what we all fancied, tea, cappuccino, fizzy apple drink, ice cream, Eccles cake and millionaires and it came to £23.

£8.50 steep price for the ice cream in the picture

Lots of coffee places in rhos on sea but it seems the local older people all gather here to talk with each other...

Visited yesterday and sat outside for some ice cream. Given the current covid situation, we checked first to make sure it was clean and the server was wearing gloves. It all looked good, tables were wiped with sanitiser spray and the staff were all wearing visors. Then it all went wrong once we had ordered. They have two queues, one for takeaway and one for eating in. The server for eating in didnt have any gloves on nor did she clean her hands before serving, she then passed the ice cream cones to another member of staff who was also not wearing gloves. The server was also taking payments including cash. Really disappointing given the steps they had taken elsewhere . My wife complained to a waiter and asked to inform the manager but no one came to speak to us. Will not...

Overall Experience - blend Sunday roast with very sweet cream dessert 1. Dessert - really disappointing, mint tasted cheesecake doesn’t go well and doesn’t taste any cheese in cheesecake. The other dessert was just was too sweet 2. Sunday roast - thinly sliced, boiled vegetables and beef, very blend after adding gravy, pudding is sad as there’s only one, boiled potatoes are blend, roasted ones are not too bad 3. Service - friendly staff 4. Serving time - 20 mins 5. Affordability - a bit pricy (£17.50 for a set of main course with dessert) 6. Atmosphere - air conditioned and clean
