Greggs — Restaurant in Wales

I went in today to buy lunch and I selected my food and proceeded to the check out , I then presented a £50 pound note £50 GBP then the lady behind the counter refused to take it , which I find very bizarre it was a new crisp note no defects holograms where real the lot a real British note and legal tender in the uk and I was turned away , the lady said and I quote it’s our policy we don’t accept £50 notes well that would be where your wrong it’s legal tender no policy can change that ! Still I was turned away terrible service I won’t be going back to any of its branches...
