Tesco Cafe — Restaurant in Wales

Can't put lower than one star unfortunately. But in a nut shell awful. Tables were stinking and floor was covered in food, didn’t think much as over heard the customer in-front of myself being told by person on till that it “wasn’t there problem” and they “weren’t a cleaner”. Anyway, continued to order my food and after eventually finding a table that wasn’t smeared in sauce or empty plates, went to have a cup of tea and noticed food remains floating in the cup, grim. Food arrived roughly 4 minutes after ordering (quick service) but unfortunately looked like it had been chargrilled. Went to use the cutlery and noticed food stuck to the fork, knife and tea spoon..asked for clean cutlery and received a set that were in fact, worse. At this point the likelihood of getting clean cutlery seemed very unlikely, so gave up with the whole idea and requested a refund. Staff were in no way apologetic and seemed annoyed at the fact I complained about being given dirty cutlery and cups? Again, I was told that they weren’t cleaners, so again, explained that the cleanliness of the floor wasn’t the issue (despite the literal toe nail clippings on the floor), that the state on the cutlery was my issue- to which I was told “well we haven’t had soap to wash them in all day” !!!I’m not sure that meets food hygiene standards.. Never again. Avoid...

Went to the café with my kids, it was a mixed bag so I will start with the negatives, They forgot half our order, I got 11 chips, and the Eggs were honestly the worst I have EVER had, and I like eggs, they were completely burnt on the bottom and cut like rubber, the yolk was shrived and completely dry, teeth could not get through it, we all left them. on the plus side, what chips I did get (chunky chips) were lovely, and the beans were heated up nicely, not over cooked, the staff did handle my missing food well (I know it does happen) but we all left hungry, it was cheap and small, I know there are cutbacks to be made, but honestly, I would rather it cost a quid or two more and get a meal, not a snack, They have also redone the café moving the till from the back to the right hand side (was possibly done a while ago but I don't come here too often) and there was no clear in/out so the pathing was bad, someone was paid to come up with that, I have done internal designs and my kids came up with better ideas than that. so as I said, a mixed bag, but I cant see us using that again...

Absolutely awful. Waited AGES for food so I politely asked where it was to be told they've had too many orders so can't fulfil orders. We left. Another time we took our coeliac child and there was nothing for her to eat as a meal. Considering it's in Tesco where you can buy lots of gluten free food you'd have thought they'd have lots of gluten free options. Terrible café avoid. You order on a screen Tyndrum you have to hunt staff to ask if mayonnaise can be taken off your burger only to find when it arrives it has mayonnaise in. Waited another 20 minutes for replacement. This cafe should be closed. Maybe let it out to a owners who know how...
