Very unfortunate to say but this place is not welcoming to tourists. If youāre visiting North Wales from another country, I would skip this cafe. We came from Ireland and had cycled all the way from Bangor, arrived 15 minutes before close and the older woman at the counter pretended they had no pastries left. We said we would take āanythingā as we cycled very far and were starving. She didnāt even make eye contact with us. It wasnāt until the younger girl pointed out that they did have pastries (right infront of her under the counter) that she reluctantly sold us 2 pastries with zero kindness. The younger ones here seem to be much kinder. I canāt imagine why you wouldnāt want to sell two cold pastries to someone 15 minutes before youāre even closing, but I can only suspect itās because we arenāt local. This place still gets 5* from me though as they had a variety of vegetarian options and their Red Thai Sweet Potato Pastry was INCREDIBLE, best thing I have ever had from a bakery. I was initially hesitant as it was vegan but you would've had no idea - absolutely delicious. I was only visiting but wish I could get that pastry near me every week! You can pay by card (I think the minimum spend was £2 which is easily done as there's a lot of choice) and prices...

Recommend the ham salad rolls ( made fresh if thereās not any pre-made ones), the gluten free cheesecake and my wife pouts if I donāt get her a Brie & cranberry sausage roll.
