Very bad experience at this KFC an hour ago. My son and I went there for food after watching Cardiff City vs. Birmingham city match at the stadium. We reached there just before 11pm but did not realise it closes at 11. We decided to eat in and ordered two Super charged Zinger box meals. Got the food after a slight delay and started to eat. After a few minutes a lady came and told us that they close at 11 and we have to leave. We just had a few bites by then. Naturally I was a bit surprised and told her I did not know that they close at 11. I requested her, if we can finish our food and leave. She said, she cannot allow us in any further and we have to leave now. Then I asked her, when I was ordering the food, if their staff had told us to take it away, we would happily do that. We are in the middle of our meal and if she can let us finish it fast and leave. It was again repetitive negative response from her. At that point, my 10 year old son started getting a bit nervous as he heard her repeatedly saying 'you have to leave' ! I helped him to pack our half eaten food and prepared to leave. My son got a bit panic stricken and as a result dropped his box of food on the floor. Worth mentioning the role of a gentleman who served us our food very professionally. He asked the lady why the system allowed us to eat in at the time of closing? The answer from her was not meaningful unfortunately. We got a few apologies from her but had to leave with a very bad experience. Food from KFC never left such a bad taste in the mouth.

Read moreVery slow service with cold food.
Decided to pop through the drive through as there were only 3 Cars in the queue. Took 10 mins to clear the drive through queue which is pretty shocking for a fast food venue. Realised when I got to the collection window that the lady taking the orders interpreted me asking for a 'sweet chili dip pot' as 'sweet chili bites'. But whatever I was hungry.
Took about 5 mins waiting at the window for our order. Which we then drove straight into the carpark to eat. Me and my.partner both took a bite into our food to find it was completely stone cold.
Drove back into the drive through as there were only 2 cars in the queue. This took another 15 minutes to get to the window to let them know about the issue. They replaced the food after a bit of an inquisition and we drove back to the carpark to eat. Once again the burger and wrap were just about Luke warm and the sweet chili bites' were completely stone cold.
I worked for KFC for 4 years when I was younger so I know the crack. But this was completely unacceptable. Some new.management...
Read moreWhen this KFC in Excelsior Rd first opened both the service and food were very good. Two weeks ago (October 30th) I used the drive-thru and the chicken was overcooked, the coating was more brown than golden and the fries were just warm. The staff were polite and friendly though. This week I again used the drive-thru (Thursday pm) and the food was even worse! Dry chicken, obviously overcooked (it was even browner than the last visit) and the fries were again only luke warm. The server was polite but did not have a clue as to the best method for me to have 10 pieces with 2 fries. After looking confused for a couple of minutes he finally said that I couldn't have that (?). I asked then for a bucket of 10 pieces but leave out two of the fries. That sure did confuse him as he tried to charge me over £13! - a bucket of 10 being £12.49. Sorry KFC, Excelsior Rd. You are going downhill, fast. For me, its Leckwith Rd or Newport Rd from now on. Judging by how quiet your outlet is, I guess that many others feel...
