A nice park with lots of green space and trees. There’s a nice avenue of trees to walk under and in the springtime there’s blossoms on the trees on the Penhill Road side of the park.

The playground here is excellent, one of the best playgrounds in Cardiff. Also a cafe at the south of the park, Cafe Castan.

All of the pathways are paved, with fairly wide paths, which is helpful for different park users sharing the space. The paths are mostly level, with one uphill section to the northwest in the park which leads out onto Cardiff Road (not excessively steep, but still uphill). Lots of benches around the park.

Llandaf Fields is south of Llandaf Cathedral and its a short walk away, if you cross Western Avenue. It’s also next to Pontcanna Fields. It’s a nice walk into town through Llandaf Fields, Pontcanna Fields and then Bute Park.

There’s parking in the Turnpike Head car park (that’s only a small car park and tends to be busy), there’s more parking if you turn right by Cafe Castan. If those are full, there’s another car park down Fields Park Road. There’s also a bus stop outside on Penhill Road, which serves some of the...

Llandaffields serves residents of the popular neighbourhood Pontcanna, & dog walkers further afield. The main tree lined path from cathedral rd takes you to Western Avenue where you can cross over & follow the footpath up to Llandaff Cathedral & Llandaff Village if you wish. It's beautiful to witness the trees change through the seasons, & can be quite a spectacle of colour in Spring & Autumn. Llandaffields is also home to the wonderful Cafe Castan, right at the entrance. Here you can dine in or out, or just mull over a hot cuppa & watch people come & go. They do great pizzas here, & outdoor seating comes with blankets to keep you toastie while you put your feet up. This is a dog friendly outdoor area, & there are convenient rest...
