BEWARE….Arrived at 12.10pm and was told food not served till 12.30 by a very unwelcoming mannered man, could be land lord, we replied that’s fine, we ordered 4 club sandwiches on two bills, about 12.45 one order of 2 club sandwiches arrived still waiting 20 minutes later no sign of next order arriving went in and asked told there coming abruptly by same man, further 15 minutes later food arrived on wrong bread, not once did we receive an apology or even an update, on asking why, the same bad attitude man replied it “he wasn’t aware about the problem as the computer had gone down” utterly pathetic, I’ve worked for many years in the public trade and have never treated anyone like he did, I believe in giving bad criticism or excellent comments at the time, but this awful attitude man wasn’t interested even when I told him his attitude was awful, food as well.was awful bread dry scraping of bacon and chicken, The one positive thing was the young girl who served us she was lovely and very apologetic.. Obviously one establishment we won’t be...

Doors where locked, after looking around found a sign stating that food was only served from 12PM, so we thought we would wait. After 20 minutes and the doors still being locked we looked inside to see a bloke vacuuming we waited another 5 minutes and knocked on the doors again, the gentleman shouted something at us and disappeared. After another 15 minutes we knocked again (12.30pm now), we were ignored again for 5-10 minutes before the gentleman returned with a sign which he put on the door stating they wouldn't be serving food until the next day. So annoyed that he didn't have the decency to either let us know sooner or at least open the door and personally speak to us. We have always used the Kings Head in Rhuddlan when in the area but not any more. On a good note we found a lovely tea room across the road which we will now...
Read moreIt was OK. No better than that really. As previous reviews have said a lot of food is cooked in the deep fat fryer within an inch of its life. I ordered sweet potatoes fries with my ribs but rather than being the healthier option from the oven they were in a sea of grease from the fat fryer. The ribs were cooked really well and fell off the bones. However there was a layer of very unsavoury fat present and a small jar of barbecue sauce had been emptied over them. My dining partner had fish and chips and reports that was ok. Certainly no sea of grease present. Staff were busy and rushed but the service was good generally, apart from some middle aged grumpy got clearing tables. The bar had a very limited choice of beers and ciders too and nothing Alcohol free which is a must for every pub in this day and age. I recommend you give this place a miss, definitely not one of the better...
