I went to Morfa Rhuddlan today with my friend and son. We chose to eat here as had a ‘kids eat free’ voucher. I have been here many times and usually have a good experience but today was the opposite. On arrival we waited to be seated for 10 mins, 6 mins past our booking time. This was not due to staff being too busy as there were 3 staff stood talking by the bar; we were seen, as were the group in front also waiting, but they did not come over. Turns out it took 3 of them to put candles on a birthday cake! One of these was the duty manager. On ordering we said we wanted to use the ‘kids eat free’ voucher and my friend also had their blue light card which gives a discount. We told the guy who took the order about the offers we had and he said he would sort it out. The food arrived quite quickly and was fine. The original guy who took our order ended his shift. When trying to order the childs dessert we had to go to the bar lady as no one was coming to our table even though the duty manager had walked past numerous times. There were many dirty tables with plates, glasses etc on them which she was slowly working her way through (and by slowly i mean carrying only what she could hold in one hand). I don’t think i have ever seen a duty manager do so little work. We paid the bill to then realise they had charged for the kids meal but used the blue light card discount on the meals. When queried my friend was told you can only use one offer at a time. She explained to the bar lady what the guy had said about sorting it out and that we would have paid in two transactions. The bar lady went to speak to the duty manager who just said to read the terms and conditions! We only ordered in one order as the guy had said he would sort it out. The attitude of the duty manager was shocking. Coupled with her lack of work, i really do not know why Morfa Rhuddlan would want someone like this ‘running’ their...
Read moreThere are choices of food from their menu but a few other countries food (a bit of Italian and Indian food). Food is what I would call English pub food but tasty (what I've ordered) except for the salad as it's a basic lettuce, a few shredded carrots, few cucumber slices and onions (I don't think there were any tomatoes in it either) and the salad sauce was either a salad cream or a salad sauce similar to a hundred island dressing - too sweet. However, when I asked the staff if I can just have a vinegar an an olive oil they were happy to provide. They were weird apologetic in not having even a simple vinaigrette. An incident with losing our food order ticket which we ended up waiting for our food for over an hour also happened. However the restaurant manager came over to apologise and offered to fully refund us with free drinks or dessert or will ask the cook/chef to prepare for us a meal. They served us an amazing lasagna within 15 minutes. As we were already had a few drinks and quite full after the meal, the manager informed us that he'll leave a note for the other manager the next day to look after us, which we had a free drink and free desert as their way of saying sorry and thank you for our understanding and patience. Food and drink price are affordable too. Staff are very welcoming, nice and polite. The place is quite big but if it's tourist season, I'd recommend to book in advance as it can get very busy and full. The only thing I would like them to have more is another coffee/tea area and bread/toaster area as when it's very busy during breakfast time the queue can get very long. Their all inclusive breakfast is a must if you're staying at the premier inn next...
Read moreWe stayed at the Premier Inn for two nights whilst going to a Wedding. Had tea here on the Friday night, didn't book but arrived just before 6pm and there were only two of us. Had three courses, all were lovely. I rather enjoyed the Carrot Soup and Sticky toffee pudding. Seemed to get very busy around 6-7pm which is understandable. Only downside is that I ordered a drink when we got our mains that never arrived but it wasn't on the bill so no worries there. I also forgot about it myself!
We had the unlimited breakfast both Saturday and Sunday morning which we booked a table through the Premier Inn reception. We ate both days at 10am. I think the last option was 10:30am for those non-morning people like myself. The Cooked breakfast cost £9.50 and that allows you to have all you want cooked as well as unlimited Continental with unlimited drinks too (tea, coffee, orange juice, apple juice and cranberry) as well as a nice selection of yogurts, fruit, cereal, pancakes etc) or you can pay £7.50 for unlimited Continental without the cooked breakfast option. Prices may obviously vary but it's worth it for the options they provide at the moment. I would definitely like to eat here again, for any meal type.
Only downside I can think of is that the Car park can get rather busy so something to consider. But that is dependent on timing as Aldi shoppers, premier inn guests and Table Table guests all share the same space.
Food from Table Table can also be sent to rooms. They display which items can be in the menu provided in the rooms.
Would definitely eat here again! Very nice food, polite and accommodating staff and...
