We were exploring around Conwy Castle when we stumbled upon the cutest little spotâLâs Coffee and Bookshopâand weâre so glad we did! Nestled just off the street, the cozy, welcoming vibe pulled us in right away. Think warm wood, comfy corners, and the smell of fresh coffee and booksâbasically, heaven.
But what made it even better? They serve matcha tea! Iâd been craving it since I landed in Wales, and after five days of searching, Lâs came to the rescue. We were lucky to grab a window seat, perfect for people-watching as we sipped and munched.
I had the Bacon, Halloumi & Sweet Chili Bagel (a combo I didnât know I needed!) with my long-awaited matcha. My partner went all in with a juicy burger, plus Lâs Granola and Yoghurt Bowl topped with mixed berries, paired with coffee. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and just what we needed after a morning of sightseeing.
The staff were lovely and made us feel right at home, and the location couldnât be more perfectâjust a short stroll from the castle. If youâre in Conwy and looking for a charming cafe with great food, friendly vibes, and yes, matchaâthis...

If you care about food or consider yourself a foodie please just avoid this place.
I don't want to write a mean or scathing review. I do however want to mention that the only things that I found edible on the menu were sold out, but the server didn't mention this until we had been well into our coffee and tea.

If you're all about white starch and deep fried white starch, you should be fine here. Otherwise I think it's probably good to look elsewhere.
If you just want a coffee, you won't get a distinctive single origin here, but you will get a serviceable cup. The servers were generally friendly, but the lack of transparency about all the foods that were off menu seemed a little...

We sat down and enjoyed some very nice food, and the kids did, too, with the snack boxes we ordered. The atmosphere was great, and because of the way the staff supported us from the beginning so did the other diners. Entertained, the kids settled down and enjoyed their food.
Being dairy-free, it was great to see oat milk on the menu. The oat cappuccino was great, made with good-quality coffee. The food was very nice too. If we had more time, I'd have loved to try other options from the menu.
All in all, a great all-round experience made even better by the exceptional...
