I was greeted with a smile entering the Natraj

Friendly staff and clean surroundings with a calming atmosphere

I asked for their recommendation for starters and main course

I refuse to order rice as anyone can get that right!

My starter of Prawn Puri was nice texture of prawns, onions in a curry sauce base presented on a paratha bread Nice to look at but did have a slight chalky taste, flavoursome nonetheless

My main course of Chicken Zafrani was very good

Unusually the chicken pieces were small but very well seasoned and marinated giving depth and layers of flavour to the dish

Heat from the chillies balanced with the mixed spicy sauce complemented the dish very well although a little too salty for me and the garlic added some bitterness Great to see it wasn’t swimming in ghee

Garlic and Coriander Naan was fresh and cooked perfectly but the later added garlic butter was not enough to taste sufficiently

Overall I think these guys have a good understanding about the layers of flavour and texture, I’d definitely recommend a visit

I do not normally post reviews or complain unnecessary about restaurants..... and i have even had to open up a gmail account to give this review. This restaurant was recommended by a friend who has eaten there but we decided to try the take away service as we normally drive to the ashoka and pick it up. We ordered: Chips: cold and soggy Egg fried rice: special fried rice was delivered and cold Onion Bajji: only 2 delivered, cold and stodgy Chicken Madras: Cold, tub half full, 4 pieces of chicken and tasteless Chicken saag: Cold, tub half full, 5 pieces of chicken and bland Garlic naan: Cold I cannot understand why this restaurant is on the top 5 in bridgend although i did try to speak to the manager after the meal was delivered and was willing to replace the rice but did not listen to my complaints as he hung the phone up! Firstly got my meal wrong Asked me to have it next time they gave me something I couldnt eat When I finally got it home it was half a dish My other items were all cold by the time I got home Was meant to be a nice family meal but had to eat it separately So disappointing food in restaurant is lovely but takeaway dont bother And terrible after service kept saying next time and to share the other curry I had ordered but that was for another person I had to drive back down to collect my meal which was wrong it would have been better if they could have delivered it due to it...
