New Inn — Restaurant in Wales

I was here on a work night out about a week ago and must say that it's really nice to have a proper pint in a proper traditional local pub!

The selection of drinks was good with a mixture of familiar bigger names and local guest ales and beers, pricing was very reasonable for the area and the staff were excellent all night.

It was a particularly busy Saturday (thanks in part to the crowd from work), yet the wait at the bar was minimal and the staff dealt with it really well.

The gent who served me was clearly very knowledgeable about their guest beers and was even able to recommend a great pint when I fancied a change, describing taste notes and colour accurately, showing a proper understanding of product knowledge and the art of brewing in general.

We stopped in for a spot of lunch and was met by the lovely landlady. She couldn’t have been more welcoming, especially as we weren’t locals. She was really helpful in giving us advice on nearby dog walks and places to go and visit. We had the warm ciabatta sandwiches to eat which were gorgeous as well as the dirty fries: my wife said they were some of the best fries she’s ever had. Absolutely gorgeous Sunday lunch. My booking was organised by Claire who was so helpful in every way possible!! The food was all home cooked & delicious, I honestly haven’t had such a lovely dinner out in a long time. They had a very busy day with a large number of heads to cover as well as our party of 13.
