So this morning, my friend and I took a brisk stroll to Parsons, Rhiwbina. After entering the bakery I immediately received multiple unwanted glances from the lady at the counter. I went to queue to order a Hot Chocolate and Classic Iced Bun. As I began to order, the lady was talking to me in a very negative tone of voice. It was approximately around an 8-minute wait for my hot chocolate and then she asked me to pay, It took me an exceptional amount of time to scan my card on my iPhone, after around 5 minutes of struggling, she realised that she didnât even turn the card reader on! After I paid for my order, the lady didnât give me my classic iced bun! She then proceeded to give me attitude as she seemed to believe she gave me the order, however she didnât! When I said I didnât have my classic iced bun, I was extremely polite and she still carried on giving me a numerous amount of unnecessary unpleasant looks. Furthermore, I went to take a seat with my friend to enjoy our orders. As I opened my hot chocolate, it absolutely disgusted me to see that the hot chocolate powder was not mixed and this resulted in my order being very clumpy and not pleasant to taste. Bearing in mind the hot chocolate took an extremely long time to be made, I was expecting it to be very pleasant, but it was the complete opposite! On the other hand, my classic iced bun was fairly nice. As I finished my order I noticed that the same lady was giving customers rudeness and was even being rude to the elderly, and even an innocent five-year-old boy. My Brisk stroll to parsons turned into a disaster! I am not happy at all about the service in Parsons and I will not be visiting...

My family of 4 (me, mum and my 2 children) visited the shop, my daughter has allergies so I was shown the allergy book (which the staff member didnât look too pleased about to be honest). Anyhow, there was nobody else in the shop and as we all live in the same household couldnât see the issue with us 4 being there. However, after 2 minutes of trying to choose a cake suitable, we had the rude response of âonce youâve finally decided, 3 of you need to leave the shop and only one of you must pay so I can let my other customers inâ Although we live together, our finances are very much separate but we were not allowed to pay for our items individually. Needless to say we left in a hurry without purchasing anything, and will not be returning thatâs for sure. How can you get your front of house...
Read moreI have only given this branch 3 stars. I have always been happy with the food. Although in my opinion the lardy cake needs more lard and less bread - at times it is like a farmhouse bloomer with a few raisins scattered over the top.
This morning I have been upset by the customer service recieved when ordering my cakes. Most people at this present time are greeting people with smiles. The bakery this morning was shrouded in gloom. I am aware that it is a difficult time for many people. However, I felt that it was a huge effort for those at the counter to take my order and that I was an irritation. A splinter in their day. My walk of the day was in tatters. I feel that I will not be going to this establishment until a friendlier group of staff grace Parsons...
