Canton Chop Suey House — Local services in Great Britain

Just been here for a Chinese while in this COVID 19 Lockdown and must say the food was absolutely gorgeous! Myself and my family dont eat takeaways often (last time being about a year) so thought we would help one of our local buisness more so during these current conditions. Food only took 15 mins to be ready after ordering and the way they have the front of the shop was brilliant.

They had all the procedures needed to keep with the social distancing rules. Tape was used to section off collection and those working for Just Eat to sit while waiting to collect food to take to homes. The staff wore masks and stood away from Customer apon payment and knocked on the window to me outside while waiting to let me know I can pick it up and collect.

Food

The food tasted gorgeous, fresh and full of flavour. May I say the crispy beef was the best I had ordered from anywhere. It had the the right amount of crispness compared to others in the past I have tried which is too chewy. The chicken balls were soft yet crispy and the noodles were flavoursome.

Ordered a TAKEAWAY at 17.51 today and was told by a woman (.now i know there is always a little language barrier)who should never be on the phone taking orders as she could not understand me at all, also she had put me on loud speaker which didn't help after 3 attempts I got so fed up I hung up and called her back.I eventually got my order through to her and was told it will be with us in half an hour . After an hour still no delivery so I called back to be told it was sat waiting in the warm up box waiting to be collected!!! another woman got on the phone to say if I still wanted it... as it was still warm enough... to which I said no I wanted it hot she then said she would warm it up for me!!!! Unbelievable ,I said I wanted a new freshly cooked order thinking it would be on the next delivery after waiting an hour to be told it would be another hour...no apologies no offer of anything else..I have used this place for years and I am not sure it someone else owns it now but its safe to say I will not be using this...

UPDATE: I ordered food last night and found the quality wasn't up to standard, as a result from poorly prepared food I had mild food poisoning. This gave me 48 hours of discomfort; I won't be using them again in the future. Hardly surprising as it only has a 3 star hygiene rating.

Lovely clean takeaway, good provisions for social distancing coupled with a fantastic menu. My order was placed then you wait outside to be called in to collect - for me this wasn't an issue, it took no time at all. I highly recommend it, the only downside (I didn't drop a star is this is no reflection on the food or service) is parking a vehicle (motorcycles have space outside to the left, by Aldi). There's no spaces outside and there is a bus lane with camera in front of the shop. My advice is aim to park nearby and walk in to place your order. Alternatively, order ahead by phone for collection or have the order delivered to your property. Either way, you won't be disappointed with the food,...
