Tamarind — Restaurant in Wales

Well we had trouble finding this as the outside isn't branded Tamarind and is of a different colour to the photo on the website. Unfortunately I managed to lose the photo of the updated outside and the menus are branded Tamarind! It seems to be a family run affair and very good it is too. Got to say that the food was very good indeed. From a good range of dishes I chose the Chef's special lamb Bhuna and it was really tasty though the lamb could have been a little more tender. My partner had the "standard" chicken Rogan Gosh and that went down very well too. We chose mushroom pilau rice and a garlic naan with chana bhajee. The bahjee was excellent, as was the naan, but the mushroom rice wasn't quite right. Portion sizes were very large and we took enough away for another meal. There's parking nearby on the road in the evenings but there's also a main car park directly opposite which isn't too busy in...

Being an Indian, finding Indian food has always been my challenge when I go to new towns. There are lots of restaurants with True, Authentic, Genuine words written on them but there is high chances of then being quite opposite.

This one is run by true human beings. I once finished my late shift quite late and was very very hungry. I went to this restaurant and asked for food. They provided a good tasty food coupled with very good hospitality. When it came to payment, I took my card to pay as I did not have enough cash. Then I learnt that the restaurant was officially closed long time ago. Hence the card machine was logged off.

They just simply said to pay next time. I read reviews before I go to any restaurants but never wrote any reviews. This experience compelled me to write one.

Disgusting staff. Horrible and abusive. Ordered a takeaway at 6pm and paid, including delivery. Arrival was meant to be 7:25 but by 7:45 we heard nothing and had to call the them who said the driver was local and knew where he was going and will be with us by 8:10. 8:30 came along and we were apologised to and told we would get some money refunded and the food will be with us by 9. 9:30 came and we heard nothing, called back and was told we had to pick it up even though we paid for delivery. Was told to call back about the refund which we did. Was shouted at and felt verbally abused for making such a claim, was very confused by this as this is what we were told to do and explained that again just to be shouted at again...
