Average food, awful service.

We booked a table for eight, but one cancelled. On arrival, we were left to distribute ourselves between two seperate six-seater tables. Waiters were innatentive, and service very slow. We ordered a bottle of wine, (which we had to open ourselves!). We weren't offered drinks again.

Nobody thought to ask at any point if we were happy with our food. I wasn't. Food was excessively salty, and i found both my starter and main inedible. The waiter was indifferent to my salty starter complaint. When i complained about the saltiness of my main course it was suggested that my tastebuds were to blame! The manager was chilled yet condescending. Despite having eaten the same dish for many years at other restaurants, the excessive saltiness was due to my misunderstanding of the ingredients!

My food was deducted from the bill, but this was poor recompense for having sat for 2+1/2 hours with nothing to eat. I hope the manager cares enough to read, then act on this review, but i expect he's happy enough just to have our money in the till. I'd advise you spend...

Never felt such disdain as i did last night. Arriving to find that our table for 10 (a 6 & 4) had not been booked in, were asked to wait outside while it was being looked in to. After 10 minutes in the cold, i went in to see what was happening only to be ignored. When i did get his attention, he mumbled, there is no booking! So why leave us outside? He challenged the lady who made the booking to prove she had really booked! Why would 10 of us just turn up expecting to be seated without prior booking? When we then expressed our disappointment his reply was WHATEVER! So bloody rude. It cost nothing to be courteous and polite, he was neither. Poor...

Following other reviews a friend and I booked a table last night. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The decor and ambiance were luxurious, tasteful and comfortable. Now for the food . . . it was fantastic! An excellent and comprehensive vegetarian menu led us to order far too much as the portions were generous. Mind you,we did full justice to the tableful that we received! Including drinks the bill only came to £48 and this will easily be far less next time, now we know not to over-order. I can't wait to pay a return visit and can highly recommend this...
