The Galley — Restaurant in Wales

The Galley evening experience It's great news that The Galley is now opened until 9pm every night. It's always been a fun, intimate place to go with very good food for breakfast and lunch, so we couldn't wait to try the evening menu.

We went last night for a bottle of wine and some sharing plates. The quality, quantity and presentation of the Welsh cheese platter and the Vegan Nibbler are all highly commendable. Everything on both plates was inviting and delicious - and there is so much of it, that we had to ask for a doggy bag! We did manage to finish the very good and well priced bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon though!

The evening ambiance is lovely too - with candle light and great music, the place is transformed. but still retains the warm welcome and great service which is what we are always greeted with whether we go to The Galley, morning,...

Stopped off here with our bikes with our two hungry girls. Staff were friendly informative and helpful. We ordered some drinks and cake and sat outside. We asked if the girls could eat their fruit here and they were more than happy to allow us to do so. They brought over the drinks and cake and were very friendly throughout. They even came back out to give us some more milkshake as they had over prepared when making ours. How nice! These little touches always make such a difference to how you experience somewhere as a customer. And the two young boys serving were so lovely, had great customer service and by doing so will guarantee a 1st time customer to be returning...

I came here with my family on a recent visit to Penarth and I was so happy with the amazing food and the wonderful service that we came back the next day. I find it extremely difficult to eat out because I have special dietary needs. My usual experience when looking at menus is, 'Oh what can I eat? I can't have anything on here!' However, I had a completely different experience at 'The Galley' because there was so much food that I could eat! It was all beautifully prepared and presented. I can't praise them enough. My family and I would definitely come here again, in fact it's the ONLY place we would recommend. Great food, great prices, great service. What more could...
