1st time I came to this place. I thought it was great they had vegan options labeled on the board. However, I soon discovered that they fry the chips & samoosas in the same fryer as meat and there is direct contamination.

I spoke to the manager on today and advised that they are not allowed to mislabel vegan items and that for an item to be suitable for vegans, the ingredients should be vegan and that the method of cooking should ensure that the utensils are washed before use and that no animal, fish nor dairy products should have been in contact. It's like using a spoon from a pork curry in a chicken curry and not telling Jews nor Muslims about it.

It's an offence and deceives the customer. When as a vegan I see something labeled as such I in my right can and should be safe enough to assume you know what you talking by about. Yet I find this as unacceptable.

Please do not misuse the Vegan Labeling as it is an ethical lifestyle and involves a level of trust you are giving to people which is misleading.

This left only one item suitable for vegans: rice and dhal.

This also implies that non of the Vegetarian items are suitable for vegetarians due to the direct contact there is with meat using the same fryer.

This implies that animal fats is an ingredient in the chips and samoosas. I'd have been appalled in my vegetarian days as I still am as a vegan. Unacceptable and highly disrespectful.

It shows a huge lack of understanding of what Veganism and vegan food is.

I had an incredibly good time at The Grange!!!

Starting with drink, there is a wide selection of beers and spirits that are sure to sate anyone's tastes.

The pub has a grand atmosphere; between the music, the (entirely positive) smell of old wood, and the meticulous decorum it maintains itself as a really approachable and genuine.

I've had the loaded fries with cauliflower cheese and bacon, as well as an incredible sweet mayonnaise (I think it was mixed with cranberry???) That really blew my mind. Generous portions, I skipped breakfast and was still fully satisfied after.

The staff were friendly, a special shout-out out to "Bunny" James who was very knowledgeable about the beers on tap, as well as genuinely warm and helpful in every matter.

Highly recommended for anyone, from solo travellers...

I ate in the Grange yesterday with a vegetarian friend. Excellent menu choice for both of us. Our meals were well prepared and presented. I like that they’ve not made it in to a yuppi pub but I am getting concerned about the proliferation of craft ales, they’re not to my taste but that is a personal thing.

Did I mention the staff? They couldn’t be better, I was even offered tasters of beers so I could make my choice.

I will be visiting again soon.

Tues 4th April 2023 - One year on and it was even better than last time. The menu is improved if that’s possible. Plenty of veggie choice if that’s your thing. Still a smidge disappointed there’s no bitter available but the food makes up for that.

Highly recommended (again) try it, you won’t be disappointed. Well done all at the...

A dog-friendly bar with a variety of food and drink options. They have many options in terms of lager/beer/pale ale (They also serve many Welsh Lagers and Pale Ales here). The popular dish, Grange Fried Chicken (GFC), is a hearty portion of amazingly seasoned chicken and chips, house-slaw, corn, and gravy. Another favourite of mine is the loaded fries. However, since the topping changes every week, sometimes the dish can be underwhelming. The Grange holds its weekly quiz night on Wednesdays! The Quiz night has a very good atmosphere and the best teams win prizes.
