I recently dined at Lahore Kebabish and was thoroughly impressed. My main reason for visiting was the legendary biryani I'd heard so much about, and let me tell you, the hype is real. The biryani was incredibly flavorful, perfectly cooked, and served in a generous portion that left me feeling completely satisfied. What struck me most, however, was the incredible value for money. For the quality and quantity of food I received, the price was exceptionally reasonable, making this a truly affordable and delicious meal.
But the biryani wasn't the only highlight of my visit. I also sampled their mixed grill, and it quickly became a contender for one of the best I've ever tasted. The meats were incredibly tender and juicy, expertly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The variety of meats offered in the mixed grill was impressive, catering to a range of preferences. The overall presentation of the dish was also noteworthy, showcasing the care and attention to detail that the kitchen clearly prioritizes.
The service was friendly and efficient, adding to the overall positive experience. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal, whether you're dining alone, with a partner, or with a group of friends.
In short, Lahore Kebabish is a fantastic place to enjoy incredibly tasty and affordable food. The biryani is a must-try, but don't miss the opportunity to sample their exceptional mixed grill. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning for...
Read moreThe clue was in the business name: Lahore, which means I got a Pakistani takeaway and not the Indian I was expecting. I ordered Chicken Biryani with plain madras sauce and 1 chapati. I received 1 bread which looked like a naan bread but I'm not sure - it didn't look like or pull apart like the chapati bread I usually enjoy from other takeaways. The biriyani rice was nice but the chicken WAS ON THE BONE! My first task was to debone the chicken, which left me with a paltry amount of meat and a couple of bones that had escaped my notice. Lastly, the 'plain madras sauce' was a small container of curry sauce and almost an equal amount of oil that I had to drain out in order to get to the sauce. Then I had to soak up the remaining oil with kitchen towel. I wanted to take the entire meal back and demand a refund but I couldn't be bothered. I knew I would never go back there again. I just wish they had had the decency to ask me about my preferences than to prepare a meal that was clearly NOT what I was expecting. Be warned. Pakistani food is NOT the same as...
Read moreDon't let the name fool you, it's not a kebab shop. It is however, rough round the edges, on Newport road in Grangetown. So actually, if very much has a takeaway aesthetic to it. It's insanely cheap here. A naan bread is £1! Pakoras and a giant chicken leg for starters? £4. You're getting the vibe. This place, this culture, is to feed (Not money grabbing, skimping scum like a hipster London restaurant that I remember paying £1 per poppadom for, That's right, per individual poppadom) For 2 starters, the more expensive Mutton curry, giant rice, naan bread, and a can, it came to £21.50. That main could have fed two people. In fact, I had 450g of it for lunch the next day. Enough with the prices and portions, how did it taste? Bloody lovely. Genuinely really good. Falling off the bone mutton curry...
