Rob invited us down and we thought, what better time to visit than a sunny Friday night? The vibes were chef’s kiss – buzzing atmosphere, drinks flowing, and food that seriously delivered ☀️ ✨

Starters Fully Loaded Nachos 🧀🥑 Smothered in nacho cheese, guac, sour cream, salsa + optional pulled pork – and trust us, the pork is a must. Could’ve eaten trays of this.

SFC Goujons 🍗🔥 Hand-coated in herbs & spices with a smoky BBQ dip – crispy, golden and dangerously moreish.

Mains Halloumi SFC Burger 🍔🌶️ Herb-marinated chicken breast, Monterey Jack cheese, spicy chorizo, grilled halloumi & a sweet onion bhaji. Stacked high and bursting with flavour – with homemade fries & fresh salad on the side.

Chipotle Mac & Cheese Burger 🍝🥓 Juicy chuck beef burger layered with creamy chipotle mac & cheese, crispy streaky bacon, and a crunchy onion bhaji. A full-on flavour bomb – rich, smoky and indulgent.

What. A. Blooming. Feast. Every dish was a hit – generous, creative, and made to impress. If you’re near Llanelli, The Halfway Inn needs to be on your foodie hit list.

Excellent food and service

Have visited and eaten here three times now and the food and atmosphere do not disappoint.

First and second visits were early evening (5-6pm) mid week in June 2024. The pub had just opened for service at this time so was reasonably quiet but I imagine that it soon gets busy during the evening/night

Really good atmosphere and music from the get go.

I highly recommend the loaded chips, I tried the following and both were excellent

Katsu curry - Salt and pepper chicken topped with chilli, red onions, peppers and katsu curry sauce

Chimichurri Steak - Flat Iron Steak, nacho cheese, Chimichurri and crispy onions.

Next visit was between Christmas and New year 2024 for lunch.

The restaurant had only just opened at midday yet soon filled up with several young families.

Again food and service did not disappoint

We had the Festive loaded nachos as a sharing starter and the Festive burgers for mains.

My wife is vegetarian and was offered a choice of either vegan or vegetarian burger option. We thought this was really thoughtful of the team.

We went for a family dinner on the 27th of July. We booked a table outdoors. The ordering system was through their app. We were receiving drinks and food that were for another table indoors due to a system error. One of the members of the staff was so stubborn that was trusting more the paper with the wrong table number than our word. We had to repeat ourselves three times before she went back to check. Whilst we were waiting we saw a rat in the garden area. We asked to be moved indoors. And the same waitress proposed another table outdoor. Still showing “denial”… Other clients saw the rat and told the manager. We were finally placed indoors. We had to wait for 45 minutes to receive our food. The chilli con carne did not have sour cream although it was clearly described in their menu. The rest of the food was average to poor quality. The overall experience was really bad. The manager did apologise but did not realised the effect of handling all that situation so poorly. I do not recommend the place. And would suggest to select staff who are...
