I would suggest you avoid this place if you are expecting vegan food not cooked in meat juice. I took my veggie partner for breakfast here for his birthday last summer and the memory still sends shivers down my spine. It's a tiny place so staff have no excuse not to greet customers on arrival. One man sat at a four person table the whole time we were there nursing one coffee and no food. We had to squash onto an inconvenient electrical cable table. After 10 minutes perusing the menu I saw a very small hidden sign saying "order at the bar." Staff should have realised we hadn't seen it and were expecting table service but no they were too busy gossiping. Service was very slow. My partner's fried eggs were burnt and overcooked. My vegan breakfast was mediocre at best. But the worst thing (which I did not realise due to where I was sitting) is that staff scraped the fat on the meat grill and cooked my vegan food on it! I didn't know this until we left as my partner saw it happen. This makes me feel so sick. They owners have no respect for vegans or for humans if the staff are so rude to customers that they ignore them. Go elsewhere in Benllech.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Cross contamination with meat, Rude...

This was the first time visiting the Island Cove cafe. When were walked in the staff were having a chat on one of the tables. They did greet us as we walked in. No one explained if it was table service or if we had to go up to the counter, we just guessed it was counter service. We had two cooked breakfasts and two coffees. The coffees were good we've had this brand of coffee before and enjoy the flavour. The breakfasts were unfortunately very disappointing. The sausages were a weird pink colour, they didn't taste very nice and they were like a hot dog texture. The bacon was very greasy and very salty. The hash brown was chewy and not crispy. The beans and toast were the only passable items. We both left one of the sausages each, some of the hash browns and bits of the bacon. It's a shame really as it's a cute little cafe and we really wanted to like the food, we are also not fussy eaters. I can see from previous reviews that the quality of the breakfast has been commented on so I'm surprised this has not been addressed. We didn't mention this to staff at the time because how do you say that it the quality of the items and the way it was cooked...

Ordered 4 times with the girl at till and she repeated it again and again....then when came she bought 2 things off our order and left out the breakfast after waiting over half hour...how many times do you have to tell them your order before they get it right so had to sit there while 2 of us ate and then went off without eating...and in response to your response no we never changed order....we ordered 2 breackfasts and change one hash brown for a black pudding like we did the day before with the man and he was happy to do so and because you was funny about it so my husband said no he didnt want one so we asked for one breakfast and 2 toasties....why would we only want 2 items when 3 of us we asked to change 1 so i think your response is not a...

Popped in today whilst on a day trip to Anglesey from staffordshire. Grabbed some cookie pie, brownie and gluten free lemon meringue. The service was lovely and the cafe, whilst we arrived just before closing so weren't eating in, looked lovely, defo plan to visit again. I'm told the other cakes, which contained gluten, were delicious and I can personally confirm the lemon meringue was amazing. I bought it home to eat and it travelled really well in the box. I added a bit of squirty cream to go with it, because why not!? Being gluten free for so long means it's been a long time since I've been able to eat a lemon meringue, it was a lovely treat!

Chose The Island Cove Cafe for breakfast , after hearing good things about the breakfast served here - we were Not disappointed. Our Host Kerry made us welcome and provided us with freshly made breakfasts , and hot drinks . A quirky little cafe with a great selection of light bites , mains and deserts - all made to Order and served freshly in a timely manner . Dog friendly ( which is always a plus + ) Well worth a visit , and noticed a Sunday Lunch offering . No toilet facilities ( Unless this can be corrected ? ).

We drove 40 minutes from the other side of the island to revisit here! The ice-cream bubble waffles are delicious, definitely big enough to replace a meal (lunch for us!) and I loved that dogs had their very own menu and our pup enjoyed her own doggie friendly waffle My only niggle was the opening hours, such a shame that the cafe closes early in the day, I fully appreciate this can’t be helped but also feel that on a gorgeous hot evening a tasty waffle would be very welcome :-)
