As a regular to Brew Monster Caerphilly I can wholeheartedly say that not only are the array of in house crafted beers an amazing refreshment for the town but something that brings a huge addition to an otherwise stale batch of establishments to drink at. The variety in on tap beers means there is one for everyone, and with the roster changing frequently all beer lovers would enjoy drinking here. It is a really well presented bar, cleanliness not being an issue and an aesthetic very rife for some cool Instagram posts.
Meg, the bar manager is always a delight to not only regulars but newcomers too. The welcoming attitude clearly works, because people who are newcomers soon become regulars I see often.
The events that Brew Monster put out are always a good time, but most notably is the now infamous quizzes on a Thursday that is run by Meg but also occasionally, the equally exceptional staff.
Overall Brew Monster is a great place to drink, watch live sport, participate in weekly events and book out for parties in the upstairs portion of the bar. I can’t wait to see how this place expands in the future!

Read moreWent here a few times but just won't go again. It's a nice place, dog friendly and great to be able to see the brewery from the bar area. Unfortunately the prices are stupidly high and I simply refuse to go again to pay that money.
I understand craft beer is typically more expensive than what is labelled as real ale, but it's Caerphilly we are talking about here, not some big city.
I recall the last time I went with a friend I paid something like £13 for 2 pints. Ridiculous especially when you consider that's about Oxford prices for craft (in some places it's less). Even tiny rebel in Cardiff is less than that.
Unfortunately on this basis I refuse to visit anymore. I don't expect value for money but equally I don't expect to feel ripped off. Looking at other reviews I'm not the only one.
At even £5 a pint I would have likely gone at least 10 more times with a friend since I stopped going (having 2 or 3 pints per person on each occasion), but I refuse to pay almost £7 a pint (some on tap are even more expensive)....
Read moreAttended for the comedy night. First time visiting the project. What a wicked venue! The place is decorated really well and has a nice aesthetic. They have a fantastic selection of beers, soft drinks and snacks. I ordered the Dirty Dog hot dog. The food was incredible, tasted fantastic and was clearly fresh. Hot dog topped with bits of Dorito, bacon and a cheese sauce for £6 was amazing. I really highly recommend this place to all the locals and any one visiting...
